Mini or 12th class variation for September

Yes i know this is early and we haven't started outside yet but gives us mere mortals chance to save up. :D

As our mini rules allow mardave and the hpi switch, we should consider the acception of the new supastox from schumacher.

also we may consider adopting the brca gt12 rules as per here:
http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97898

another suggestion is that the bodyshell represents a real production vehicle and are either Mardave, Kamtec or Schumacher

what electrics will fit in the shumy thing?

chris brown 03-05-2012 09:13 PM

Think it takes normal size electrics.
Looks good but will probably thrash those with tamiya m chassis.

Chrisfoster1971 04-05-2012 06:10 AM

Ah bugger just for an M06, are we gonna have some stock rules and modified rules to give normal newbies a chance?

Dave Dodd 04-05-2012 08:42 AM

The 1S chassis takes the same electrics as a pancar.

The 2S chassis takes saddle's, so normal electrics will fit, would just need a slower motor like a 21.5t or 17.5t.

i think gt12 rules are 1s 13.5t, so equivalent 2s is approx 21.5t, we could adopt similar rules but allow 1s 10.5t and 2s 17.5t.

they should be on similar pace as the m06's but we'll see.. i will check some lap times

Has it got a diff? Personally I think they will wipe the floor with the minis.

Bargain price though

Aran 17-05-2012 04:25 PM

id like a superstox but i definitely think there should be a motor limit.

maybe the club could get some stock of the limit motor for a good price.

Gt12 rules are 13.5t 1s (27t 4 cell) or a mix of and 21.5t 2s.

Blinky :) (zero timing)

Robbiejuk 17-05-2012 08:00 PM

Dave they blink when the timing is off.

they are £94.99 (rrp £99.95)

there is the 1s or 4cell (4 nicads/nimhs) kit or the 2s saddle pack kit :)
from what i can gather std electrics will fit maybe a small servo or low profile servo and the use of a rx pack in the 1s chassis just to help the electrics.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Mardave & Schumacher.

we will be following the gt12 rules as close as possible, so the following electrics are allowed:

1s brushless 3.7v, 13.5 motor & blinky esc no boost timing
2s brushless 7.4v, 21.5 motor & blinky esc no boost timing
4cell nimhs 4.8v, G2 motor & any brushed esc

wheels:
any wheels that fit without any modifications are allowed
max dia 60mm

bodyshells:
any that fit sensibly without too much over hang.

upgrades:
only spares and upgrades from the same brand is allowed (schumacher for schumacher upgrades and vice versa)

nb: non adjustable brushless esc's that have fixed timing are allowed and bl motors that have adjustable end bells should have them set to 0 degrees.

a full summarised rules sheet will be posted asap. :D

having watched some gt12 racing today with ColinO, it looks really good with some close racing  (track length 30mtr approx, spur 70t 48dp)
also diff's were being used. (mardave in a supastox, tut tut) although a std supastox was not that far behind. (it was a Mardave leading the class when we left)

:)
