FORCC Summer Series Round 1 - POSTPONED

Hi All,

Not long now until we all get to go play outside again .

The 'FORCC Track Development Team' (aka James) has been hard at work building stuff  and the grass has also had its first cut of the year courtesy of Michael and Elliott . A massive thank you to James, Michael and Elliott for taking on these tasks with such enthusiasm :woot:.

All we need now then is for the rest of you guys to come and race. Full details can be found on the club website (www.forcc.co.uk) and we will be starting pre-booking for the Summer Series from next Wednesday.

Regards,
Jon.

Looking v.good chaps! Well done, cracking pieces of kit.

One question, is your Summer Series open to non-FORCC members?
Some of us could possibly do with some time on grass after a long multi-surface winter!

Keep up the good work!

Hi Steve,

The FORCC Summer Series is indeed open to all :). We are trialing pre-booking this year with the aim of minimising the amount of time it takes us to get going on race day. If you've seen the club's website, you'll see that we're offering a small financial incentive for pre-booking up to and including the Wednesday prior to each Summer Series date. Pre-booking isn't required but if non-members PM or email me prior to the creating the heats on the Thursday before each meeting, they will still qualify for the reduced race fees

Regards,
Jon.

Remind me to give it a plug at next weeknds Regional if you want?

jkclifford 16-04-2012 04:06 PM

Its amazing what you throw together with 120 8' lengths of 4x2 and 20 sheets of ply!!!

And close on 1000 nail 500 screws!!!

Tractor Boy 16-04-2012 08:50 PM

Can not wait to race on a good old fashion grass track with some of the best jumps in the country and on top of that you have got to see the banked corner that James has built it,s bloody brill.
Who else is coming to have a play, me Kyle, Jodie and Jeff will be there for sure having some great fun.

Regards Alan

:thumbsup:Fantastic work guys:thumbsup:

Now if Jamie and you guys can build me a bridge across from Southend to Sheerness so I don't have to go all the way into Dartford to come all the way out again on the other side then it would be awesome.

Seriously though - brilliant work.

Andy.

Details regarding directions and sat nav address for the 1st round of the FORCC Sumer Series

For those of you using sat-nav the postcode that you require is ME13 9LH, this will take you to Courtenay Road, Dunkirk. The entrance to the track is about 450 meters down Courtenay Road on your left and will be sign posted on the day, please look out for the FORCC sign as the entrance is further down this year just past the football pitch where the toilets are.

For those without sat-nav if your coming from Brenley roundabout, take the A2 Canterbury turning, then take the first junction off on your imediate left towards Boughton. Proceed to the end of this road then turn left into Boughton Street. Head right through the village and up Boughton Hill at the top of the hill you will enter the village of Dunkirk. Here you will take the first left into Courtenay Road, proceed down Courtenay road, track entrance will be signposted as written above.

If you are coming from the Dover/Canterbury direction just past the Gate Inn service station on the A2, take the slip road signposted Dunkirk/Boughton, you will go up over the bridge round the left hand bend where you will see Courtenay road on your right, proceed down here, further directions apply as above.

If all else fails look for a ruddy great pilon and you can't go wrong, or you can phone me on my mobile: 07791 334 705

Hairy Spider 26-04-2012 12:03 PM

Due to the fact that it hasn't stopped raining since the droubt started :o we have been forced to postpone Round 1 of the FORCC Summer Series . Dave is very Disappointed :p

Round 1 will now be held on our reserve date on September the 9th.

jkclifford 26-04-2012 12:24 PM

Not as disapointed as me I pulled my nuts out building them jumps!!!

Hog 26-04-2012 02:32 PM

You'll have to keep your nuts in Mark's little pots James.

Seriously though we do appreciate your ramp building skills - just a shame we won't get to sample them this weekend.

Jon - which Dave?

MHeadling 26-04-2012 02:56 PM
