NO MEETING Tuesday 5th June 2012

UNIVERSAL THREAD FOR ALL TUESDAY NIGHT MEETINGS

Track open from 6.30pm every tuesday for mid week meetings

ceejay21 08-04-2012 10:49 PM

hi All,

Thinking of popping down to your club this Tuesday and there is a 50% chance that i will be racing, my B4 has an old faithful Novak gtx and 19t spec motor in it  will that be competitive with the general speed of the 2wd class? Or will i have to rob the Tekin RS out of my mi4

I will have to wait until payday before i can buy a brushless combo and maybe even an sv2 or something else with a mid motor :thumbsup

I know its a long shot but do you have handout pt's or does anyone have one i could borrow? I have never needed to buy one before as everywhere i have raced have had handouts. Also do you have any mains power as i dont have a 12v battery to run my gear off. with the current setup in my b4 the lipo should last all night anyway

Thanks in advance and i look forward to seeing you all this Tuesday,
Cheers, Cal

dobber 09-04-2012 07:14 AM

There are varying ranges of ability and car specs so I'm sure your b4 will be fine, especially on your first visit.
not sure if people will have a spare PT but not to worry, we'll put a number on your var and manually count it which is standard practice

Not to worry about having a 12v battery as we have mains power.

Hope to see you down there this week.

That's brilliant thanks a lot. I will be there from roughly 6 ish, see you all tomorrow hopefully it won't be too wet

Dudders 09-04-2012 08:28 PM

Gates won't open before 6.30pm so grab some drink and munchies en route

Think the weather will be kind to us this week. We raced in the damp last week and it was awesome!!

Looks like dry weather today

dobber 10-04-2012 11:03 AM

Can you book me in for tonight. I'll be driving 4wd (so long as I get some tyres tonight). Will be there just after 8pm.

ceejay21 10-04-2012 12:26 PM

Yeah it was a pleasant surprise when I woke up this morning and it was sunny and dry. I am just on my way to Apex to get tires, what would you reccomend for running on your astro? Will something like cut staggers and mini pins be ok?

Dr_UpGrade 10-04-2012 01:24 PM

Hi guys,
Don't think I'm going to make this one tonite... Need to save up my 'lifts' for the up-coming summer series on sunday!

Have a good one!

(oh and yes in my opinion, CJ, those should work on our dry astro)

Karting 10-04-2012 04:04 PM

Looks like the weather might be kind to us all tonight, looking forward to a decent dry blast around the track!

dobber 17-04-2012 03:14 PM

I'll be running 4wd tonight, parts for my 2wd came but the wife was out so not delivered grrrrr. Book me in and I'll be there just after 8pm.

Dudders 17-04-2012 03:24 PM

Will do buddy, 4wd for me as well

feasty33 17-04-2012 04:22 PM

I'll be along tonight as well,
Got the old Losi XXX4 up and running with a 13x2 brushed in it!
TBH it looks quite rapid for a motor that has been in the cupboard for the last 10 years!

See ya'll tonight
Dave

Bit like your street wagon!

See you there David

Dudders 22-04-2012 05:09 PM

Racing this week as normal, let's pray for the rain to stop.

However, as Duncan and I saw today, the sand has gone, and although the astro was very wet we only had water spray on our cars, no sand at all. Looks like it's all gone and we've both still got clean cars!

New decoder works fine so we'll all good to go

Dudders 23-04-2012 06:38 PM

Looks like a break in the weather tomorrow, we'll be trackside from 6.30pm!

Dudders 24-04-2012 08:30 AM

Should be dry

Dudders 24-04-2012 04:04 PM

Still dry :woot:

Dudders 25-04-2012 08:38 AM

GREAT fun last night as always, thanks guys. Was great to get a dry day with good numbers so we could run a meeting. Was very interesting noting people's tyre choices throughout the night as the dew came down. Went from high grip to no grip within an hour! Good job there was plenty of tyre boxes

More of the same next week!

Dudders 01-05-2012 09:59 AM

Normal meeting tonight. Rain has stopped for the day and the sun is trying to poke out. Should be a dry track come 6.30pm.

If anyone has a 200mm GM ESC/Motor Sensor wire someone can borrow tonight, please let me know PDQ

Dave Westwood 01-05-2012 10:18 AM

Re tonight---

Hi Neil, its still raining here-pissssing it down, not sure where you are? :(

Dudders 01-05-2012 10:20 AM

Yes mate!, I'm at the sixth form and it's been fine for at last an hour. Where are you?

dobber 01-05-2012 11:16 AM

Ive just checked the weather forcast and it looks good for the rest of the afternoon in the Fleet/Farnborough area. Fingers crossed!!!

jlucas 01-05-2012 12:08 PM

Wet or dry I'll be there people forget these buggies are pretty weather proof.

Welshy40 01-05-2012 12:09 PM

If it is still not raining when I leave Woking I will hit the track tonight and have a blast with my oap RC10B2. Lets hope.

Dr_UpGrade 01-05-2012 12:28 PM

Yep, I'm going to be making an appearence tonite too! I will also be driving the 1:1 big car to get there.. Shock horror..

See you later...

Neil,

I have a spare sensor wire somewhere if you still need one, unsure where it is but must be in my bag somewhere, otherwise you can pinch mine from my 2wd between races.

Dudders 01-05-2012 02:09 PM

Thanks mate, that'll be appreciated I'm sure

No more rain, it's nice and sunny here.... bring it on!

dobber 01-05-2012 04:37 PM

Ah!, the twilight zone!

Dr_UpGrade 02-05-2012 10:47 AM

Dudders,
Any chance of last nights results being put online? I want to see just how I did manage to win the second 4wd A final!! I know I had 'some' assistance from some of my fellow racers.. Those trucks do like to 'play' don't they!!

Dudders 02-05-2012 11:08 AM

Yes will do mate tonight.

Terry and Darren waited for each other, then Terry waited some more, and then some more for Darren to catch up. They got caught up lapping Dean Mandeville in the truck and that's when you snuck past. Of course me holding Terry's car at the start didn't help!
