Dynamix up and running today

Weather fine, track good, Dynamix up and running today with racers already on trackside, come along and join in.

geordiematt31 08-04-2012 06:01 PM

Confused as a front by email led me to believe that the track wasn't built??????

nobby 08-04-2012 06:40 PM

Popped along today for a run and had a really good day.
The track is a very good size with some very nice bumps and jumps.
It's the type of track that will suit a beginner, but it's still a test for the more experienced racers.

If your in the northeast pop along next weekend for a look.

markyboy 08-04-2012 06:54 PM

lol i had a pop up last week and had a few laps then paul broke my car lol

nobby 08-04-2012 07:29 PM

What does that tell you???

Don't let Paul drive your car:woot:

geordiematt31 08-04-2012 07:39 PM

cheers in advance

Dynamix today

Many thanks to all of you that raced today, some nice clean close racing. Good to see a few faces coming to have a look too. Positive feedback on trackside today. Made a few further adjustments. Really enjoyed it and once again thanks for your support and look forward to seeing you all next Sunday. Video of today uploaded onto facebook - great viewing. http://www.facebook.com/#!/#!/photo....type=1&theater

I'm sure Paul will confirm it, but I don't think you can run Nitro's.

For a club so new to be this far in development does show alot of potential :) A little support from the NE drivers and this will be a top club

Can u go down there an practise or do u have to wait for race days for it to b open?

rsdoddswrth 09-04-2012 01:37 PM

Has the rostrum been stolen, looks like you's are standing on pallets

Barry Williams 09-04-2012 02:04 PM

Was a good day yesterday, new track layout worked well i thought, just need a few more racers to make it even better next time. Pleased to have quite a few visitors to have a look, hope they race in the future.

The drivers were stood on pallets, (my idea I'm afraid) as it would have
took a couple of hours to erect & dismantle the rostrum & since numbers weren't guaranteed on the day the pallets were used to save time, plus they don't need moving after racing. The track was easily visible so it saved lots of time (especially since the rain was threatening at the end of the day). The rostrum is stored safely inside the nearby skatepark so can be used as & when required (regionals etc)

Looking forward to our next visit

Dynamix last sunday

Had a really good day racing last sunday, and was good to see the track for the first time, straight away it's easy to see a lot of time and effort has gone into it, i just need to set the B44 up for astro and i'm sorted! hats off to Paul and the others involved for what they have achieved!!

canon67 12-04-2012 01:43 AM

Ok well nice track but were is the drivers stand did you guys spend all your money on the rug.

Den.

Barry Williams 12-04-2012 07:13 AM

See my earlier post (post 18#) on page one of this thread regarding rostrum, its safely stored for when required

Barry

crazyken76 12-04-2012 09:50 AM

once the club makes some money i think you should get a cheap 20ft container then you can have that as a rostrum

Not sure how much the container itself would cost, but i imagine the materials required to make it save and accessible via steps etc would cost quite a lot. Would be a great vantage point however.

Hi Guys i looked @ a container at the start of the project 12 months ago
due to the price of scrap going up the price of the containers have shot up
for a watertight container to are looking @ a minamum £1500.00 + transport + steps + railings in total arround £2400.00 +vat so unfortunatly we just carnt afford it at the moment.

we do have a 20ft long and standing hight of 8ft scaffold rostrum witch is
ideal and give a full view of the track presently in storage to use when the attendance numbers rise but i am unwilling to leave it set up for it to be stollen

hope to see you at dynamix soon

Regards Paul

rsdoddswrth 12-04-2012 06:36 PM

Why not have the rostrum concreted in to the ground, then tack weld the scaffy bars together, then it could be left up,that would stop the theft of it.

Chris

crazyken76 12-04-2012 08:47 PM

it would be best to have a purpose build rostrum as when i went down last week it put me off a bit just seeing a few pallets stood there plus on the safety side of things pallets arent the best things to use as they can crack under the weight of someone stood on them and you dont want someone putting a claim in against the club , having the rostrum concreted in and welded would be a good idea  on that idea

Steven Forster 12-04-2012 10:02 PM

May be able to get some racking from work to use as a rostrum........will find out and let you know asap

crazyken76 09-05-2012 12:49 PM
