Championship supplementary regs are now up in post #1.
Not sure whether the club will offer trophies or towels or other so awards have been left blank. Will |
Round 1 of the championship for 4wd only is this sunday - 6th May - in Griffeen Valley from 10.30am
There is non-champioship racing for 2wd also. All welcome |
Are the clubman rules still the same (10.5 and no timing)? I know there was lots of discussion about changing this for the outdoor championship

The outdoor championship will be run with clubman following the current rules as we used over hte winter. If the committee passes any new rules, they will probably piloted/introduced on non-championship race days to test the system before full adoption. Will |

Club c/ship.
Great weather and a great days racing at Lucan yesterday on a new track layout, well done to all.
Hope everyone used their sun-cream. Any chance of club c/ship results etc as it has been a few weeks since round 1. |
i believe they will be up tonight or tomorrow
the only delay on round 1 going up was an appeal that had to be discussed and changing the championship from 3 with 2 to count to 8 with 5 to count it was a great day of close racing may it continue |

Another great days racing at griffeen valley
Weather was brilliant, the track challenging, and the pace fast. Well done to all. A special note to Alan Thompson on his good driving and attitude towards racing. A very good EXAMPLE of manners and sportmanship. Looking forward to the next round Congrats again |

Great days racing yesterday.
Well done to Ciaran Parkes for his mechanical work on some of the cars. His oiling of Grahams wheels "to make them go faster" made my day a lot easier. |

Another interesting club championship day in Lucan, with the weather playing it's part. The right set-up at the right time was the order of the day.
The results are up on the club website. (http://www.dublinmodelracing.com/results.html) In 4wd modified it will be between Ivan and myself. 2wd modified, will be between Ivan, Tony and myself. (I'm currently 1 round down after only running 4wd at the last round.) In 4wd clubman, things are looking good for Lee to win it, another good round should give him the championship win. Second place is another matter. Only a couple of point split Graham and Alan. The two Rays (Marshal & Power) can't be counted out yet, both have enough rounds left to run, to complete 5 rounds. So a few good runs from the Rays in the second half of the championship, could see things getting very close at the top. 2wd clubman at this stage is still up for grabs. Lee again is in the best position, with 3 wins, another two good results, could see him take the championship. Like with 4wd, 2nd place is still very much up for grabs. With 3 rounds left to run, there are 11 driver who can get points from 5 round. So for a lot of drivers the remaining 3 rounds will count for their overall score. It's going to be a tight and interesting championships. MiCk B. :-) |
Just need your gear to get stuck in austria for a few months then ;)
|
Yep,
That could happen it got over there very quickly. MiCk B. :-) |
