another layout |
How are you going to turn the drive through 90 degrees though Scott? Some sort of transfer box?
Must admit both layouts look good, although the inline version is obviously more simple. |
Looks superb mate!
Can't wait to see it in the flesh! If it goes as well as your Yokomo CC car your onto a winner! |
wooow, nice one scott!
awsome consept...... use the Tamiya db02 tranni, when it comes out, to turn the motoe 90° |
Cheers guys
Through 90 degrees .... It's top Secret lol Only joking not sure yet but it will happen. I Have a few ideas:) |
Nice idea Scott, have a look at http://www.muffettgears.co.uk/pdf/pg51beve.pdf I have used the right angle version for a helicopter tail gearbox.
|
Cheers Tony
You are spot on I have some 1.5 mod tail gears from a nitro heli 1:1 lol They have been collecting swArfe for 3 years now so best get them used Cheers mate I have it all in hand but it's nice sometimes if others consider my madness and get involved suggesting ! |
Have a look at some gear diff gears. Let me know if u get stuck, I have something designed I'd love to try out.
Amazing work as always!!! |
Interesting layout which I expect will improve rear weight distribution, but correct me I'm wrong but where does the receiver go?
Also, how have you secured the lipo in the front? Well done anyhow:woot: |
Thanks Adam that means alot to me coming from such a high caliber designer Such as yourself. The work you did on my 2005 Durango was ace.. Too good all most!
Naushad it's not finished yet... The battery straps are quite easy lol Thanks for your kind comments:thumbsup: |
Well deserved mate, not alot of people can make their own carbon tub, amazing work as always!
Looking forward to seeing it hit the track. |

I am hoping better
But who knows But the Durango 410 is a finely fettled fille in standard form I just like to try new ideas |
Top draw as usual Rebel!
I have looked at these types of gearboxes before, but never been too sure if they could be used in RC. Looking at the link i take it you would use the T1 gearbox, if so it says the Nax RPM is 3000, this isn't enough for todays brushles motors is it? Really looing forward to seeing your solutions and mounting of the gearbox etc :) Chris |
Thanks Chris
Car will be running hopefully tomorrow at faversham in the mid longitudinal layout to test tub cause it's made from a new flexible resin If all is good then I will custom make the transfer box ( no center diff ) then a new shell Thanks mate |
Cant wait to see it go Scott!
|
Reckon we could have a separate heat at FORCC for all the cars Scott has built :woot:
|
All the crap scott's built you meen Dave lol
Sadly I don't think I can make it to faversham tomorrow as I have a massive tooth ache:cry: I am gutted cause I've been getting up at 4am to work on this car before work! All ready for faversham I am having a bad week really , tooth ache and yesterday I managed to fire a paslode gas powered nailer into my hand... Ouch! With a 75mm ring nail:lol: After pulling that out of my hand I might have ago at pulling this tooth out surely it will not hurt that much ? Does anyone know? Any self dentists out there? |
I'll bring the cotton and we can have the first ever tooth extraction by rc car! Seriously though, hope you feel better soon. That goes for the tooth and hand!
