WHAT 2WD BUGGY TO GET NEXT

I now have a b4 and want a change so do i wait for a d2 order an s2 or buy an rb5 or x6

Mike Hudson 11-03-2008 08:07 PM

depends on your driving style really, whats it like? Personally when I changed from my b4 to an x6 I never looked back, my driving and laptimes have improved dramatically since, the x6 is a fantastic car in my opinion and has some fantastic race results to show

bigred5765 11-03-2008 08:10 PM

again x6
its fast well balanced and easy to drive

mattym0310 11-03-2008 08:37 PM

i am going to have to agree with the unanimous choice.... X6 all the way! it is an amazing car. i agree with everything that has already been said. make sure it's the 4 gear version though [i'm not knocking the 3gear but just think that the 4 is even better still!]

Northy 11-03-2008 08:39 PM

Id say wait for the D2, but then again I would say that!

Seriously, what I have seen and heard about it tells me it's gonna be great :thumbsup:

Northy 11-03-2008 08:44 PM

Haha, a genuine typo! They are next to each other....

I did ofcourse mean D2

jimmy 11-03-2008 08:53 PM

I think you should get a Baja 5B SS - that's what I'm holding out for anyway

I have an RB5 to be honest its doning the job for me and the car is awsome but it depends what you really want

leelar 11-03-2008 10:29 PM

Cheers was just looking for something different i have only ever ran a b4 and feel the need for a change

bigred5765 11-03-2008 11:17 PM

if you already have a b4 the x6 is the smart move

Or the S2 is the smart & better looking one!

Garry Driffill 11-03-2008 11:51 PM

I really liked my S2 towards an X-6, but then again my X-6 i had was only 3 gear.....

I know for sure what looked better ! drove aswell as it looked :)

S2 in my books anyday ! you just need to cope with the price. But quality is what you pay for and by hell its good.

S2 in my opinion its everything a 2wd needs to be

Big E 12-03-2008 07:38 AM

The logical one is either the X6 or the S2 from a B4.

The S2 is nice and slim but then does need real small radio gear and does cost a fair bit more...very nice chassis though.

But the X6 has the results  Plus can take Lipo and normal size radio gear.....oh and is just better :woot:

Chris Doughty 12-03-2008 08:48 AM

I feel left out here not suggesting the car I run.

B4!

Twister 12-03-2008 12:33 PM

How about Losi cr? It's agreat car right out of the box on blue groove tracks anyway.

ashleyb4 12-03-2008 12:38 PM

Yup the cr is a great car parts are cheap easy to drive looks better than a b4 and its national champion.

nobby 12-03-2008 12:49 PM

a losi cr.
as it happens i have a mint one forsale:thumbsup:

RLGfx 12-03-2008 12:54 PM

i like my RB5, really forgiving car to drive compared to the B4, though it can be a tricky car to set up on occasion (though that may just be me...)

The S2 is a thing of beaty though, or you could run the Fray Bentos....;)

Nick Goodall 12-03-2008 01:02 PM

Anyone else feel that these threads are completely pointless?? It just becomes a shouting match between drivers that already drive other cars :D
So on that note........

STICK WITH THE B4 - It ain't world Champ for nothing!

V-Rossi 12-03-2008 01:14 PM

Being the world champ doesn't make a car the best in the market. People like Neil Cragg can probably win big races with almost every car.

Twister 12-03-2008 02:20 PM

I suppose they all are even in performance when it comes to top level 2 wd. But i'd never thougt i i say this about a rc car but the s2 is kind of sexy.. Excuse me lad's got to cll my therapist now..:bored:

As long as it has HB shocks anyway

Plenty of space for big brushless ESC's and non-mini receivers. I'm running a Sphere and a Phazer (i.e. not small) and there's room to spare. The nice thing is that inside the tub, it's one big open space. Not all divided into compartments like an X-6 :D

I had a Full sized KO servo a Nosram 2007 & a Futaba pcm1024 in one!
So no problems with fitting things in :D & Lipo saddles will fit
Both cars are good though!

Kopite 13-03-2008 12:34 PM

rather than just listen to people big up the car they currently drive (which seems to be what always happens on this topic of thread), try and see if you can get a go of other cars on the market, or even a good look in the flesh, and see what you think.

I currently run a Losi CR, but used to have a B4. I know what i prefer, but i certainly won't just say 'run the Losi, it's better'. I just prefer my Losi cos it suits my driving style more (which is a very important factor).

matdodd 14-03-2008 10:23 PM

:o Stan's made a good point!

Where do you race Leelar?

Huw333 15-03-2008 05:38 AM

I havent driven a 2WD car for years but i used to drive a losi XX (not CR!)
So if it was me i would go for a losi again but thats just because i never broke anything on it, and even if you do the parts are cheap, its easy to set up, easy to drive and i think its a really nice looking car

I'm really tempted to get back into 2WD especially since the cars dont seem that expensive!

Anyone got a XXXCR for sale?! :D

leelar 15-03-2008 10:12 AM

I race at southport and sometimes bury
