Dougthy,Northy, Old timer,Mat Dodd,Jonathan Brown, Wraggy...??????????????

Chris Doughty 05-03-2008 12:07 PM

try this to start with

http://atomic-carbon.gforceimages.ne...15-06-2007.jpg

I know its from a wet grass-track setup - but it was super-grippy because it was so wet

I would proberbly go with blue front springs and pink rear springs.

outside hole shock position on the front wishbone if its got too much steering.

depends how much grip the carpet generates, some carpet does not give that much grip.

freud 05-03-2008 12:11 PM

Ok Thanks Dougthy ;)

I can't get my indoor setup to upload for some reason, but, this one of Jonathan Browns is close.

http://atomic-carbon.gforceimages.ne...20Feb%2007.JPG

Only things I'd change from this are blue front spring, with internal spring, outside hole on front wishbone, orange piston in rear shock, one internal limiter and an O ring external limiter and somtimes a 1.2mm rear rollbar.

This is the setup I ran all last year at my local indoor club and all the other S4 drivers at the club run the same.

freud 05-03-2008 12:57 PM

Thanks

I ran this setup on mine, apart from i stayed on green fronts, inner and outer row off front tyres. 2 small shims under rear anti squat block. The car felt very good, even better as the tyres wore in!!
Good luck

Thomas P 18-03-2008 05:32 PM

How is the tracks @ your place Freud ?, carpet, astroturf, clay, bluegroove, loos, hard, tarmack ?

Cooper 18-03-2008 05:57 PM

reply for Freud

The track is astro but very slippery astro because it's very wet. it's astro that used to be 'hockey astro'.

It dries in summer but I don't think it will be dry the coming race. We race the schumi mini pins on it, they work 'fine', not wet enough to use ballistics.

Cooper 18-03-2008 06:39 PM

It is Belgium :D :D

you need to be a member of one of our clubs if you want to compete.
or you can compete in next years Grand Prix in kampenhout (www.mbv.be)

Thomas P 18-03-2008 06:41 PM

Damn...ok, i didnt like Sweden anyway..il tell my Wife, i need to move.. :D... GP, sounds nice...have to check my calender :)

Cooper 18-03-2008 06:46 PM

This year's GP is already full, 3h after the inscriptions were open. So you have to try for next year.
People who already raced previous years get the email earlyer so you have to be lucky to get in ;)

Or be a club member, like me héhéhéhé

Thomas P 18-03-2008 06:47 PM

Yes, i did see that, nice that it is so popular =), think i have to focus on a few race here...first =)

freud 18-03-2008 06:57 PM

You come to belgium you drive no prob ;)

Thomas P 18-03-2008 07:02 PM

can see as a holiday..just fun to drive on another spot =)...see if some of my clubm8s are interested
