when are you expecting the kit to arrive? I want to see lots of pictures.

Nas 04-12-2011 12:05 PM

Well i ordered it last night from APEX models. But they said they didnt have any in stock and they would order them in (would take 1 or 2 days) then ship to me.

So i think it should be here around Thursday ish?

This week and next week is my Gcse mock exam week and i need the car ready by this Sunday (due to the last winter series race) :(

Going to be a difficult week this!

Rootz 04-12-2011 09:42 PM

So! This'll be a short and sweet build thread then! LOL

Looking forward to seeing things take shape.

1st of all they now come in metric not Imperial...
And every rc8 driver i have spoken to love their old rc8 so the new one will be better :)

I have driven the old rc8 my self, loved it.

With 24+ championships under their belt i doubt there car is "sloppy".

Thanks.

Nas 10-12-2011 02:17 PM

Shell has been send to my sponsor (outlaw graphics) for painting.

It took me just over 8 hours ( considering i started working after school and today) .

I think its turned out very good for my first Built :)

Next race=next year :( but it will give me enough time to break the car in and fine tune anything i want.

Thanks.

eyeayen 10-12-2011 06:42 PM

Lookin' good Nasir, I'm sure Mark will do a good job on the shell, I like his stuff ! What are you having ? Your usual Red Bull scheme or something new ?

I'll be interested to hear how you get on with this, all aspect, maintenance, driving, racing, everything. Especially as you have already done this with Nitro. I wonder if it will compare and how easy it is to get on with / change & adapt to ?

badger5 11-12-2011 07:13 AM

Nas 11-12-2011 05:49 PM

I come with many good news people
Camber+ suspension and droop has been send by the lord of rc Tommy Chung Kyosho team racing driver :woot::woot::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks.

eyeayen 11-12-2011 07:27 PM

Tommy is a really good guy and incredibly knowledgable and helpful on the few times I have met him.

Nas 11-12-2011 07:48 PM

Could not agree with you more.Without him, i properly would not be racing right now!.He is one of the most helpful people down at the track and i learned my skills /knowledge from him.

Nas 11-12-2011 09:01 PM

Look what i just ordered:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/..._ya_os_product

Just to be on the safe side of Lipo fires. HAHAHAHA:thumbsup::thumbsup:

eyeayen 12-12-2011 12:13 PM

Safety first.

I was working in a model shop in 2003 when Lipo's were starting to come in and be used a lot in helicopters.

There was a story that went around everywhere with pictures of a guy charging the heli in the back of his car, I don't know what happened and led to this but the battery caught fire followed swiftly by his car, whole lot went up.

The pictures were of this burnt out car, you could make out the heli in the boot still, was horrible but that was a long time ago and tech has moved on since then, still, probably better to be safe than sorry eh !

OUCH!!!.
Yes i do agree. Safety comes first.I saw a Losi 8ight E on fire at Slough SRS race, not live someone took a picture and that scared me lol.

Nas 12-12-2011 06:29 PM

Ok little update.

Took it for a test drive and all was good, very fast i must say.The front drive shaft popped out,but that's because i forgot to lock tight my screw. The center diff seemed to be leaking. So i took it off and greased it all up better and tigened the screws up more.

Thanks.

Nas 15-12-2011 12:20 AM

Shell is coming this Saturday!!!

Looks brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you think?

Thanks.

Nas 16-12-2011 04:14 PM

I'm sorry my photographing skill are RUBBISH!! Looks much more nicer here lol

eyeayen 16-12-2011 06:54 PM

Yeah that looks okay, nice tidy paint from Mark as usual ! Could do with something else in the back section as the sides are real cool with all the sponsors and stuff and then the back just looks a bit empty I guess.

Will look better with the wing skin on it, gonna look good on the track, nice and clear.

When I finally manage to get to Slough I'll come over and have a proper look :D
