Thanks to Dan and Martin for running the meeting for us. And Glenn for doing the 4wd heat.
I managed to total the cougar halfway through the first race, smashing the front bulkhead to bits and snapped the shock shaft and bent a turnbuckle. And with none of it in my spares, my day was done.
But no.......i remembered i had my old B3 in the car for my son to use at the end of the day. So armed with a 17x2 brushed motor from 1997 and an ancient esc i was back in the game. Well kind of - i didn't have a choice of tyre (as the B3 has 2" wheels not 2.2") or enough grunt/traction to reach the table top. So i kept landing on the up ramp.
Sorry to anyone in the 2WD that i held up, i did spent most of the race letting people thru.
And to top it all i pulled a muscle in my back when i was marshalling so i have to have an office day today:(

Still thats 2011 race season over for me, the cougar will be up for sale soon. Roll on next year with a fresh start in 4wd.
Cheers
Neil

No problem Neil. Least you got some racing in even if it was at a vintage pace:p. Make sure you get those spares for your pedator when you get it. Have a good xmas and new year mate and see you in 2012.

Dan

Randall34 06-12-2011 04:40 PM

Cheers Dan,
My back is still bad, might have to be off work, except my new car will be delivered to my work this week so that might cheer me up.

Have a good xmas also.

Neil
