I don't think that the R version is a rip off.

I am of the opinion that it is a entry level car, or ideal for someone who wants to do a v2 full fat to v3 upgrade. I'm sure you will see a fair few on the track.

Im right though, the V3 is only £70 more

for that you get -

big bores £100
carbon towers and brace £60
alloy hubs £30
hd cups £10
alloy hinge pin brackets £50
rear diff holder £28

thats all I can think off top of my head.

So now that the 2010 is discontinued my 2009 must be on its way to being a classic :D

HD cups are included in the R you mong
The big bores on the v3 don't have the alloy adjusters so you can deduce £10 from the price of those.
Small bores are priced at £100 also

Im with G here, the car is good value for what you get. dont forget that for the likes of tamiya or Ae your paying alot more for same sort of spec, you dont get big bores on other brands, and Ae apart from the carbon is all plastic

with the R you get bigger bearings in the rear hubs haha

No offense, but did you just skim the page, because it is a fairly big image/section that clearly states that the HD cups are included on the car

The rear diff holders are not included in the V3 as far as i know.

It's not a 'rip off' at all - its great value - it's just the DEX410 V3 is even better value.

The spec you've stated isn't accurate tho anyway lip.

anyways IMO your daft to buy an R. if you do.

Plus there's the Anti roll bar kits....30 quid a pop to name a couple more.

Lip, can you keep this on topic please and stop talking about other cars that have nothing to do with this subject or this forum. All i will say lip is the last R was a great value car and the new one is 20% cheaper and a better car than the last! Thats the point end off and for that Durango have done a great job! Go and find me a car on the web thats has the spec and quality of this car for this price!

@ Lip - Sweet Jesus man you're up and down more than a ho's knickers! One day you love TD, the next the new thing they release is "rubbish" or a "rip off". The only person I know who changes his mind anywhere near as much is Shane (but he's legend).

Wheels have been available for some time....

I rate the V3 HIGHLY! but the R doesnt make much sense, thats all im saying. then the thread changed (not by myself) to comparing the rango and serpent which are worlds apart.

And im working on the legend bit and so far its going to plan :thumbsup:

Best thing to do is buy a 2nd hand full fat and an R for spares.
Then you get body set,shocks,diffs ,chassis,d/shafts,brgs,wheels etc.;)
Rs were going for £175 with xtra carbon towers, pity they dont fit the 210:p

v3 rear wheels are available?....
From who?
Every supplier I speak to has them on back order.

MB models are currently showing 180 pairs of rear wheels in yellow... Is that enough wheels for you?
