Whats your opinion Guys?
So I was wondering what your opinion would be on the following question:
What do you think are the top three 1/10 scale off road cars? Kelvin |
2 or 4wd?
|
Errrm... 4 Wheel Drive...
Im only asking as I am going to get back in to this as I really enjoyed as a youth but never really had the money to progress it. Going to get my son in to it also... Kelvin |
Durango 410, Kyosho FS2, Yokomo Bmax in my opinion.
|
Associated B44.1, Durango 410, Schumacher CAT sx2/3 are the most popluar round our way and all have decent results, spares and technical backup
|
Most popular does not mean the best!!!!!
;) And they are not the most popular in our Area. |
There is no "best" buggy these days, there are merely buggys beter suited to your driving style.
Personally I think the 410 is a superb piece of engineering, but I can't drive it for toffee (car is too aggressive) and the zx5FS is a piece of plastic crap, but it drives (for me) superbly well. I own a B44 |

What I was trying to articulate (allbeit badly!) was that support trackside or cars that work well at your local tracks can make one car stand out over the others. Otherwise I agree with Col (and wish I'd said what he did!) |

Seriously though Neil, what model do you have? Or am I being daft? Kelvin |

I was wondering what model you run? Not make... Sorry. |
I run a Schumacher CAT SX2 at the moment and find it easy to drive. Also maintenence is fairly easy. Diffs do not need rebuilding that often.
What has not been asked is whether you plan to race indoor or outdoor as this makes a fair bit of difference. Have seen the DEX410R running and this looks good, especially as you can get them for under £200. Koyosho FS2, Tamiya 511 and Associated B44.1 are all good too but cost a fair bit more. |
Kyosho Lazer FS2 / FS2-sp ... easy to live with, super strong, great to drive and quick.
I honestly can't think of what I'd drive if it wasn't a Lazer ... give one a go! |
Id say take a look at whats common where you live/race so help with setup/spares is easily available.
Otherwise id suggest looking at the Cat SX3, Tamiya 511 and AE B44.1 |
