Belsten 27-02-2008 02:52 PM

thanks ash

Body Paint 27-02-2008 03:25 PM

Close Ash, greens seem to work best if it's REALLY wet, pinks have a very slight edge over greens in the inermediate conditions (but high wear), or yellow minispike in dry conditions.

If you want ultimate grip and don't care about testing the control tyres for Nationals run BB green minipin, you may need 2 sets of these.

I'll be taking 1 set of green spikes and one set of yellow minispike

Danny McGee 27-02-2008 05:18 PM

Please for the love of god dont run pins.

Spikes are for the national, so lets just all use spikes and see what our pace is like.

:D

ashleyb4 27-02-2008 07:01 PM

Is LIPO allowed?

Thanks

RogerM 29-02-2008 12:58 PM

Not 100% sure but I would check. Paul W' is heavily involved with the Kidderminster club and is the BRCA EB eligibility officer so might want people to use only cells that are on the list.

As I say not 100% sure but if you ask Paul I'm sure you will get a very straight answer.

James 29-02-2008 02:45 PM

Just heard LIPO NOT allowed for anyone else queerying this.....

Southwell 03-03-2008 08:58 AM

Are there still places?

Jamie B4 03-03-2008 10:03 AM

Kiddy

Stuart,

Wonder if you know if Glyn is going to be there on sunday because if so could you ask him to bring a load of inserts with him please

Chrislong 03-03-2008 10:42 AM

On the back of the Lipo question. Can we use 2008 cells? i.e. EnerG 4600's ?

I do have 4200's but they're badgered, trying to save them for the indoor finals.

Danny McGee 03-03-2008 04:08 PM

Just sent my message to Tony for 2wd. Hopefully there are a couple of places left. (Chris i have a few sets of pinks left) Also as i cant be bothered to txt ya. Im gonna be driving down as im heading back to home after the meeting :) thats if the golf makes it ;)

Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo, Lipo.

Lets just come to terms with it that these really are the future. Why not embrace it and let people run them. Im still waiting for my 2008 cells and dont really want to run my old ones anymore but i guess i will have to dig them out for ANOTHER meeting!

My thought anyway, im sure there are good reasons not too run them??? I just dont know them yet:yawn:.

tyreman 03-03-2008 06:18 PM

Danny
I'm sure Dez Chand of radio race car ran lipo's at the Coventry rounds, if he did I can't see why others can't:confused::confused:

Chrislong 03-03-2008 07:26 PM

Does that mean all 3 of us are going down separate? I'll chat with Tom, he's welcome to stop over hear then leave his car here and go in mine.. it'll all work out.... but if its raining, im going Mountain Biking instead

Southwell 03-03-2008 07:48 PM

Anyone got a gazebo or something me and Trish can pit in if it rains? :D

The only reason i keep wondering about this is due to the fact (and i may be wrong) but i thought that the cells that we used last year are going to be illegal soon. Therefore new cells are required for the nationals etc. Then im assuming that Lipo's will be allowed next year so people will then get them. It just seems a waste to me when we have lipo now, let people buy them and use them and save people some cash. This will help the younger kids who are up and coming too.

LIke i said tho, could be wrong :)

Back on subject. Whats the weather meant to be like? I suppose i should be finding myself a tent. Any offers ;)

Chris Doughty 04-03-2008 01:10 PM

Danny, come clean, you just want to run LiPo and you found some 'save the kids' story that fits and your using that to touch peoples emotional side...

Chrislong 04-03-2008 01:17 PM

It is true, Danny wants to run Lipo to save the children.

Chris Doughty 04-03-2008 01:20 PM

Save the Kids - Go LiPo!

bigred5765 04-03-2008 01:24 PM

Oh dear... Im likely to wuss out if thats the case, will decide Saturday.

Danny McGee 04-03-2008 03:13 PM

Erm..................

I just want to use lipo. Correct! Or at least have the option too and run along side the "ordinary" folks :P. Am i right about the cells thingy tho?

Chris you freek, its going to rain at least on one day at the national so why not get the practise in. Mind you if its THAT bad then i may just carry on my drive back home and visit eden park during the week sometime.

Which class is everyone doing? Im in for 2wd as per usual :)

Chrislong 04-03-2008 03:21 PM

Yep im booked in for 2wd.

Your right Danny in theory, but in reality whats the point, as I learn nothing because enthusiasm goes to sub-zero and its quite a high possibility the car will not finish the run, or feel very different due to everything binding and weight - i'll race a wet national because I have to aslong as the meeting is still running, where I have a choice I will never bother with wet racing - I utterly hate it, I can't stress that enough.

practice is practice at the end of the day. plus you could do with learning some throttle control ;) jammer.

Anyway

Chrislong 04-03-2008 04:13 PM

:o:o:o:cry: Now im offended.

Belsten 04-03-2008 09:27 PM

Please can someone furnish me with the address and postcode of the track ? Thanks

_sleigh_ 04-03-2008 11:01 PM

For a SatNav I presume.

Lat. = 52* 21' 28.7" N
Long. = 2* 16' 10.5" W

Northbound side of dual carriage way (Minster Road), if coming in from Kidderminster town you need to go to the far end of the dual car. way and do a U turn.
