normal sunday meeting this week so whos comeing down to play :woot:

Looks like the weather is gonna be cloudy so should be there, especially now I have some rear tyres that should give some grip in the wet/damp!! lol

Think a few of the clanfield boys are coming along too

Weather and saturday nites drinking permitting, I will come down and give the 4wd a blast i think....... Need some practice with bher before the MKGP that seems to only be round the corner all of a sudden!:o

Glad we all made it, I had a great time with the 4wd sx3 and no breakages.
Nice weather, albeit a little on the chilly side earlier on. sun came out and warmed up thou.
1st time i have seen a lipo go up in smoke, wow they go up well! Not sure whos it was but thankfully only minor damage to the car!

Which belts are those as they have released some uprated belts etc.

So who blew a lipo? LIPO sacks time?

lipo blew in cammers durango pin on prop shaft done it while racing common prob on rangos so its not a chargeing problem

its not a sack issue, its a pin/durango issue. maybe we will need to start having mini sacks on the lipos! LOL, there would not be room...........

Is a racing incident, the driver got out OK so all safety features are working well!!!!!! LOL.:D:D:D:D:D

Although it has crossed my mind that having a fire extinguisher in race control might be an idea (assuming there isn't one there already?). Most incidents I've seen, thankfully only a couple, have happened when the LiPOs were in the car and not actually while charging.

John, we have a extinguisher hanging up in race control, fortunately martin with his spade rescued the poorly Lipo,

We ensure that everyone knows about it, I can just imagine the F1 type of situation and the car covered :woot:

Yeah really enjoyed today, the new track layout is challenging but good, will need to work on my skill level now ha ha

Another enjoyable mornings racing at Torch:thumbsup:. Struggled with the new layout and table tops today:thumbdown:,hope to improve with more practice!!:thumbsup:.
I don't think we need a fire extinguishers as have Martin and a SPADE!!!:thumbsup:.

Dry chemical extinguisher or sand. A lipo went up at RC-Arena, CO2 extinguisher did a good job of spreading burning mess about!

A spade is good, but an actually extinguisher would be great, althou, you need to cheack them as not all suitable for electric fires! (sorry, the security/safetyman in me). so maybe a suitable fire blanket etc available may help. I have a 1st aid kit in my RC gear if anyone needs anything, and i am also 1st aid at work trained etc, so, any help, i am the short bald one with the loud mouth and at the moment a lovely movember tash filling in nicely!!!!:yawn::yawn::yawn::yawn::yawn::):):woot:

Martin and me will be planning some more changes as too much marshalling going on and frustration in the amount of mistakes that was going on, so will have a chat with Martin this week to improve things:thumbsup:

Yep, It is allways the mid belts on mine, think i have got through 1 rear belt and 4 mid belts, I have ordered the new tougher ones to see if they are any better for the next replacement :)

i have not built my sx3, as got it from martin, but i cant see any way to adjust the tension?

Eccentric cams on diffs. They adjust the diff height.

I found kit setting too tight.

Yep, and if anything the mid belt feels a little loose, but i have not sealed the edges of the belts yet, so i will try this gem of a trick before buying shares in the belt making industry

didnt realise that made the belt tension different....... but not had to do anything apart from shocks, shock mounts on it som far!

I think that makes sence, if its the edges that give up. if its the teeth then i guess thats just the way it bites!!!!!!! I would be interested in the results from this survey!
Are the new belts(the tougher ones), from schumacher, and are they made in all 3 for the sx3?

Well I have on order the mid and the front belt in the tougher type (below), so hopefully by next Sunday I will be running these, without glue, if not then it will be standard belts with glue on the sides, and a good look at the tensioning... :confused::confused::confused:
