Winter Racing Venue
 

Well, consensus is from Dean Mandeville, James Lucas, Iain Crawford, Drew Jones, Duncan Hedger & Chris Ellis that the indoor venue at the current SHRCCC HQ is up to the job of RC Indoor Winter Racing!

The venue should be enough to have some great meetings and keep the club together for the looooooooooooong winter months ;)

Details to follow but it WILL NOT be a Tuesday, possibly Wednesday or Thursday...... might even do the odd Sunday!

Will announce more as and when.

We will need Carpet and Lino so if anyone has some spare........ :thumbsup:

What about Saturday evenings, might be appealing to more non-local people that couldn't make a mid-week race meeting due to where they work? The start time could be earlier, so the finish would be earlier as well!

Back in the day I used to race in Norwich and we would start a 4pm on a Sunday:thumbsup:

Let me see what the venue can offer me as they do alot on weekends in there. I'll let you know.

Personally, I'd prefer somehing more mid-week than w/e, but I can understand the pull for others, especially those with juniors...

As for w/end timings, personally I prefer early doors start to finish early doors too; can still make something of the afternoon/evening then :thumbsup:

Guys, I can confirm the new race night will be on THURSDAY NIGHTS. It's the only free day the venue has for night racing.

I hope to be in a position to start this within the next few weeks, not next week but maybe the week after :thumbsup:.

Hi all, new member, old racer. Was wondering when, if we anyone knows yet, what thursday its gona be, as need to come say hi and see what you guys race. been a long time since i have had any thumb action, 22 years to be precise, So gona be a learning curve!:woot:

You'll be in good company here. A lot of us have been away from rc for years and are just getting back into it. I used to race rc cars 25 years ago and got back into it this May.

Mmm certainly tempted for a mid week indoor jaunt, I'll need indoor practice for Petit and off road wars.
