Euro Indoor Race 2012

Hello,
EIR will be the 3, 4 and 5 February.
The categories are:
2WD, 4WD, Truck (1 heat), SC (1 heat) and 1/8 (1heat)
The website in French is ready, Lolo must download the update tonight in English and Dutch at the weekend.
Friday free practice, 6 qualifications Saturday (show rACE in evening) and 6 finals on Sunday.
155 places available
Registration 16 September 8:00 PM on our website.

John (like all contenters from the 2010 edition I guess?) got a reminder mail from JP 2 days ago, and there the starting time mentioned for the inscription is 21h (9pm) instead of 20h....just wait another half an hour :)

In Belgium SC isnt big enough for 2 klasses.

we can get close to 10 2WD on a truck in no-man's land (Bauffe ;)) so I'm not so sure you're right.

These 10 sc places would be filled in seconds if they were added to the 2wd or 4wd list. So I think you can only be happy that the organisation gives sc, truck and 1/8 a chance to participate, even if it is only with 10 places each.

So be happy that they decide to run a (small) sc class, instead of just doing 2wd buggy and 4wd buggy only.

depends; if you have to buy a €400 4WD SC kit to be able to compete in the SC category because no rules were set to restrict it... it's a bit of a gift with a trick up its sleeve ;)

Yes, but that depends on what you expect from a raceday :-) (you are able to compete with a sc 2wd too, I raced many times with my 2wd buggy in the 4wd buggy class). SC is clearly not the main class here, so I don't see if you want to drive with your 2wd SC, why you can't have fun. If you go for results, compare yourself to other 2WD SC's or try to beat the 4wd's and get satisfaction from that.

Your original question was why it is not split into 2 categories. I think this is just a timing issue. It's clear that this is mainly a buggy race, so I guess they will not lower the amount of buggy entries in favor of an extra SC heat.

Guess you will just have to live with that :-)

sc sucs and in belgium it has almost no life . so be happy and run wat you have . ether way the 2wd cars are almost the same pace on that track as the 4wd , so drive with sence and you be in the top 3 than my god how hard can it be :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

geld groeit niet aan de bomen; tenzij dat in antwerpen wel zo het geval was; maar laatste keer dat ik daar was, niet echt gezien.

nadat je investering gedaan hebt in 2WD met nodige accessories zodat je kan rijden op BRTC track, waar er wel 2WD en motor restrictie is; is het een beetje spijtig een eveneement te zien waar er dan ineens geen restricties zijn en alles word bij elkaar gegooid.
