No idea, our dates have been out since before "dry" season etc.

brookie 22-08-2011 01:59 PM

Yes it is!

http://www.edenparkraceway.com/news.htm

As you can see we, and Ansmann, we're hoping to attract drivers of all ages and abilities from across the UK (but obviously primarily in the South!) to this FREE event that will offer drivers an unparalleled opportunity to get direct access to the team, it's drivers and it's equipment.

EPR Committee

Dudders 22-08-2011 02:54 PM

Is it worth moving the date to attract more to TORCH as some might go to Eden Park?.

I know Adam, Craigo and Deano might be going to it... also it's free which will also attract a fair few irregulars from travelling to TORCH?

I know the TORCH date was set first but maybe its the right thing to do?. We'll be at TORCH but would also do Eden if on another date.

I doubt it as comittee members have also organised things around the other weekends. (Racing elsewhere, holidays, family events and so forth).

Dudders 22-08-2011 03:37 PM

I know what you mean!!!

See you on the 25th then, unless we see you this Sunday coming @ SHRCCC

maseace 22-08-2011 04:58 PM

It's a shame as not missed on yet but I will be going to eden park to give it a try

MrMagoo 22-08-2011 05:17 PM

Gutted to miss it, but it's the last summer series round at Clanfield. Sitting 3rd in the truggy champs means I'm going to have to go nitro... Too much racing and just not enough time!

mikeyscott 22-08-2011 05:21 PM

Essentially we can't win.

Don't think so Mike, TBH you'll never avoid clashing with someone. According to my RC calendar my choices on 25th are:
  • TORCH all-dayer
  • Ansmann race at Eden
  • Clanfield Summer Series at...
  • BRCA Truggy Nationals at Coventry
  • BRCA Rally X reserve date

September is just plain crazy for racing. I figure with the rep TORCH has now you'll get a big enough turn out what ever happens.

dibble34 22-08-2011 06:44 PM

I hope to be there

Gotta defend my 5th place from that Cammers :p

Add RC Arena Winter Series to the date too. Can we fly between races like the Horse Jockey's do?? LMAO. TORCH for us x 3

mikeyscott 22-08-2011 09:15 PM

It is what it is, we try our best.

hotrodchris 22-08-2011 10:48 PM

Mikey when we at Clanfield set next summers dates will talk with you as a lot of us have a hard decision regarding the 25th, commitment as a committee member at Clanfield or fun at Torch

Cammers 28-08-2011 03:26 PM

I'll be there and I hope dibble is aswell, dont want him to have any excuse for me taking his 5th spot in the championship.:p

jpmatrix 28-08-2011 06:18 PM

Hopefully i will be there if I can swap shifts with one of the drivers at work.

Might have a dabble with 4wd i think with the newly purchased DEX410R. Just waiting for a couple of upgrades to come through the post.

Briangb 29-08-2011 06:31 AM

Count me in too. Most probably be my next race meeting as away on holiday soon.
25th is first weekend after I return. What chance an Indian summer?
My car is ready to go, although may service shocks and diffs before I garage it and
convert to 2wd for the winter.
Looking forward to it.

Crazy L 29-08-2011 08:56 AM

I'll be there. Wild horses wont keep me away.

Dunno if cake will be though, had to force it down your necks last time, so probably the end of that

Should be a good one, lets 'ave it.

ASKay 29-08-2011 10:10 AM

If i am in the country, I will be there also...... need to try and get my astro setup improved before this tho...

I would say do it bit Its the weather I don't mind the cold it's just the rain
shame couldn't get a big marque and put it over the track!!!

hotrodchris 07-09-2011 04:46 PM

as a 1/8th racer and the way the last 2 Winter's have affected that a 1/10th astro Winter Series would be spot on and even though have had numerous car issues during the Summer Series have thoroughly enjoyed both the banter and some exceptional racing,
a lot of 1/8th driver's have 1/10th car's nowadays as can be seen with the increase in 1/10th tracks both indoors and out recently 3 in the south alone:thumbsup:

MrMagoo 07-09-2011 05:12 PM

Will be at TORCH anyway over the winter, but as Chris says a few all-dayers would definitely spice things up - especially when there's no 1:1 racing to get home and watch on the telly!

The Chef 07-09-2011 06:16 PM

+1

How often does the track get changed at torch? A few extra features would be fantastic.

Dudders 17-09-2011 10:05 AM

I'm coming, Adam has a Hockey match so wont be there, I could bring Harry but depends on weather you'll be having a Jnr race?

Let me know?

hotrodchris 17-09-2011 01:51 PM

The Chef 17-09-2011 04:34 PM

Hi Neil

We want to run a junior race but realistically need a min of 3.

Can anyone who might be bringing a junior who would want to run in a junior heat let us know please so we can let people know if it is going ahead.

Thanks

Rob

DragonRider 18-09-2011 02:19 PM

I will be bringing my 10 year old with me.

He will be running in the 4WD's if we can get booked in as neither of us have not raced at any of the previous rounds.

Cheers

Mark

hotrodchris 18-09-2011 04:58 PM

A few of us was just discussing coming 'down' from Stotfold and Silverstone. Whats the format? When does it start finish? Do we need to book in?

Thanks

Paul Timberlake

That would be cool :)

Have a look at the link - http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63494

Any questions drop an email to [email protected]. My PM box is perm full :(

Re details also again email the above address and I'll get it all set-up on the laptop.

We try to do 3 leg finals for all, but that really is dependant on numbers.

Randall34 19-09-2011 05:14 PM

if numbers are large (60+) do you think 3 qualifying rounds would be good, in order to keep the 3 leg finals.
