Todays Racing

We wont be coming today guys little one has not been well last night and is still bad this morning:thumbdown: on the plus side I have managed to get hold of some mini pins for the truggy for the next truck carnage:lol:Have a good one Lads:thumbsup:

captainlip 07-08-2011 08:53 AM

I can't make it for a number of reasons, weathers bad and I have no RX to use.

Plus touring cars is on and Plato is on fire again so I need to watch that :D

captainlip 07-08-2011 06:07 PM

Did anybody turn up today? Seems very quiet to say it was a club day!

Si Coe 07-08-2011 06:49 PM

3 very full heats at the start of the day.

3 not so full finals at the end, but all in all decent turnout given the weather.

Not a bad days racing, think the weather put a few people of but as soon as the racing started the rain stopped, had a little more between heats but cleared up for the finals, then started again after packing track away,5 heats then finals, approx 25 racers today, only 2 trucks in the final though, some went home early and i think a couple broke.
but all in all still good fun with the track wet at times but soon dryed out.
a couple of new trucks there today and should be another 2 ready for next meeting making the trucks very popular now.

Howler 07-08-2011 06:59 PM

Good day, i feel like i'm turning into a wet weather specialist. Cant stop the grip roll in the dry, but a bit of rain sorts it out. Getting faster with the SCTE.

Big thanks to Chris for the overtray otherwise i wouldnt have been able to race today. Cant wait to try v2.0!

Shame there's no racing next week due to the Southport national.

loved the wet racing mate,
and a big thanks to you too for the use of your spare wheels, just looking on tinterweb for a set.
just hope my new truck will be up and ready for next meeting

Si Coe 07-08-2011 07:09 PM

If people are interested I've said I'll come down next weekend and open up so we can have a practice session.

If enough people grovel, I might even ask Rog if I can borrow the timing gear and we'll have an actual meeting, but that will take some serious begging......

minke 07-08-2011 07:24 PM

I want to come down next week

tisher 07-08-2011 07:26 PM

gutted I could not make it. I had weatherproofed up the trucks yesterday as well:thumbdown:never mind Kids Hay. We wont be there for the next couple of weeks as well as we are away on our jollys:D

your truck is awsome, the best truck ive ever had a go of,i recon you need to have a look at some different tyres for the dry,i noticed when i had a look at your car your tyres are a very soft compound.

I dident realise those losi trucks where based on a losi8,thats why it goes so well!!

Yes please Si , could really use some practice time to get my setup sorted. Always struggling to get track time for tinkering on race days.

:thumbsup:yea I was that good when I was young:lol:old age gets to us all as you well know Matt:lol:

Si Coe 07-08-2011 07:58 PM

Johnnys truck worked fine. Johnny however, just couldn't seem to get with it today. Looking at the time, I was as quick with it has he had been, and Nick much quicker.
Mind you, when it wasn't bust his B44.1 was going well.....

And just so you all know - there is nothing wrong with my Bmax. Yes I know it sounds like a swarm of wasps, but it works fine. I've checked the gears and nothing is worn out, I think it just likes making a noise!

benjy 07-08-2011 08:00 PM

loved today, thought it would be called off due to rain or it would mess my car up , but no to both , glad i came and well chuffed with my results.

thanks, ben

Deano 07-08-2011 08:09 PM

I'd like to come down and have a look at your club. Hopefully should have received my B44 by then. Would like to bring my 2 boys with their DT02s too.

Ta, i'll do that, just need to source some spare wheels for the truck, they seem to be in short supply, may need to order from the US. All the other ones are a different offset.

johnnygibbon 08-08-2011 09:11 AM

Yes I also fell in love withva losi truck
So smooth and it had steering to . Might rebuild mine a bit different however seeing it compared to that Losi and jimmys Durango truck it's not got the agileness
Still lairy as anything , new tyres and a rebuild , it went well with nick maybe he can race it for me every week
Fell out with Novak big time . They just let me down for no reason repeatedly .novak or nothing , i choose nothing, it been used less than three race meetings that system . been enjoying my buggy a lot apart from esc problems
Lrp is gonna have to power me from now on
They are just better .See ya in a few weeks boys when I sorted new esc and
Lrp all the way from now on
