Been my dream for years, even since I was club racing. What better way to have fun when you want at home when the weather is crappy. A guy from microtforum and I created a project last year along these lines, I think it's in the 'I made this' section, - it was a replica RC10 Team car based on the losi micro t. It's loadsa fun ! This new Kyosho release really feeds the desire for such fun !

Nige55 03-08-2011 11:13 PM

btw styleone, I'm also in the mids, we could end up racing these !

very nice mate !! Nice job on that conversion ! ah well you sold it, hold out for this kyosho buggy ! I'm sure there will be lots of other versions based on this chassis !

Gayo 03-08-2011 11:29 PM

It seems to be 4wd... I hope it will be better than the crappy Micro T.
If it is Mini-Z quality (should be), then I will be soon adding some jumps on my Mini Z track!

Yes, at the top by the 'Mini z buggy" logo it says 4wd, and also 2.4ghz. Add those jumps Gayo !! :D

Bleeping awesome!!!!

I am hoping to have my Mini-Z track up and running for some extra practice in the evenings ... I think I too will be building a few jumps to do this little beauty justice!

Neil Skull 04-08-2011 01:03 PM

It will be due Approx October.

Lots of different bodies being lined up for the future.

It is a readyset with the 2.4 radio and 4wd indoors or outdoors.

That's great ! Thanks for the input Neil ! I'm sure you can't tell us which bodies are up-ahead but could you say if there will be just the optima body available at launch or a few to choose from ?
These are going to sell like hot cakes !

simoncrabb 04-08-2011 08:29 PM

optima version

ZX-5 version

some general stuff

Neil Skull 02-09-2011 03:06 PM

The Lazer will be released after the optima.
Not sure on timescale yet.

There will be a chassis only version released, Although i think the price will make the readyset the popular option.

Mini-z use special KO system. KO Make a module that can be fitted to any radio that had a module. futaba and sanwa will need an adaptor plate.
So its possible to use sticks.

We race them using normal AMB or MRT transponders so no special timing gear needed.

bondy 02-09-2011 03:31 PM

Thanks for the info Neil. Could you give any information on how do do this the cheapest way (to use a stick radio) ? I don't really want to spend mega bucks on the Esprit 3 or high end Futaba radio and module to do this. Whats the cheapest surefire way to use a stick radio with these buggys ? Thanks :)
