Sunday 31st July Meeting

OK everyone, as last week was such a success:thumbsup:, we shall be meeting at Chineham Park again this Sunday. 12 - Finish (probably around 4). Subs £1 and Club Cars can be hired for £4.00 (includes 4 tanks of fuel). We will have two cars available so you may have to take turns (tanks).

:thumbdown:Unfortunately I am going to have to start charging a little something for the BBQ now that their are more and more people turning up. Would every one be happy to put the subs up to £2 to help towards the BBQ costs. Thats if you want to continue with the BBQ or maybe you may have some other ideas - just let me know what you think.

I will be their at 1100 to set up the track if any one wants to turn up early. Their are a few people away on holiday over the next few weeks, so how about a bit of recruiting to try and kep the numbers up.

Hope to see you all Sunday:D

Hey guys, hope some of you can make it Sunday. It ain't much, but we set up a rope and cone track and usually have a BBQ if the weather is good. We have a few members away on holiday over the next few weeks so our numbers will be down a little, but don't let that stop you, it would be great to meet you.

MrHavana 31-07-2011 09:46 PM

Thanks for all your help today Mark, I really appreciate it. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and will definitely be back. I might even buy a Losi 8ight that a guy had for sale there. I know my driving is the main/only limiting factor at the moment, but I've heard it said before that you can grow with a better car rather than start with a more basic car and have to get used to a new car further down the line as your driving improves. What do you think?

mugenmark 01-08-2011 07:22 AM

john the losi very good value he got top servos in it,if you got spare cash get the losi it better than are older desgins,i e mugen mbx5 ,hyper 7 have been around a long time, plus you seen the losi in action there good round slough,if you dont buy the losi let me have the number for the guy,i want just the rolling chassis, may be i can do a deal with him.all you need is tyres and more track time john, you had a excellent first final, belive me john it just getting into raceing your be quick by next year,i am looking at getting losi 8 or aggama next year, the mp9 just too expensive and so are the parts, the losi a good buggy your get some good lap times ,but it is all about set up,ie shock oils ect,so if i where you buy the losi and bring both cars down for race day with different set up,try them out in pratise and use the best one till you nail the set up.and get lots of set advice from the outher losi drivers down there

mugenmark 01-08-2011 07:46 AM

nice 8th place john, great frist race, yes buy the lois it a good deal got excellent servos in it,if you dont give me the number i just want the roller,a losi 8 or aggamma or mp9 will improve your track time for sure but it just pratise and set up.so get the losi then bring both buggys down with different set ups and race the one you like best till you nail the set up.so get the losi it a top car the only difference will be engine and set up your have the car to win
]

mugenmark 01-08-2011 03:27 PM

john can you post the details of the alton2 day bash on this forum and are face book page,,http://www.facebook.com/groups/BRCCLUB/?ap=1 ,there a few members who like to come down.

AJ Roberts 01-08-2011 06:10 PM

Its all over MSUK, just have a look

MrHavana 01-08-2011 08:52 PM

No problem Mark, details + links below. Could you copy this to facebook? - I don't really do facebook I'm afraid. Numbers are limited

And thanks for the advice and encouragement. The only thing that was holding me back was whether I'd do the car justice really - bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut. Well that and the wife when she finds out!

been a bit of a rough time mate to be honest and im going to be laid up a bit longer than expected, I may be able to pop out to a couple of meets but wont be bashing as the dizziness could prove dangerous if im trying to control a nitro going flat out and wouldnt want to risk hurting anyone, well no more than usual anyway :p

AJ Roberts 02-08-2011 06:58 PM

dangerous??? never
