Hi i am just wondering has anyone ever bought from Hobbyking? before how long does shipping to the United Kingdom take?
Thanks |
about three weeks if your item gets caught up in customs
|
what about the normal time if the item is not in Customs? ( i will be using their EMS service ) which is supposed to be the fastest?
|
honestly mate I would go with three weeks. nothing arrives quick with them. I have used them several times only once did an item turn up in two weeks
|
Thanks for your help :thumbsup::thumbsup:

They are big here in Sweden, a lot of bashers use them. Their batteries are dirt cheap so a lot of Swedes have dealt with them. (I only buy IFMAR approved batteries.) From what I understand from our Swedish forum, most people hare happy with them and recommend them to others. The only downside appears to be that if items are not in stock, there is no idea to order them as the time for them to restock can vary from a day to several weeks.
I have personally only bought one item from them and that arrived well packed in two weeks time (no EMS). It was a servo slow module packed in a box big enough to fit four 1:10 buggy tires. Please note that the have a warehouse in Germany and that they will ship some parts from that warehouse in order to skip customs. However, it appears only selected items are aviable through Germany. |
Thats great thanks very much :)
|
fastest order had from main warehouse was a week slowest 4 weeks(international registered) , germany took 4 days

you never adjusted customs declare % at checkout did you :( anything declared over £18 gets import fees, if order from DE warehouse no charges as in europe
|
Only about £5 of that will be customs charges. The rest is the rip off that is the couriers handling fees.

Right let me tell you what the charges are for:
Customs Duty £0.00 Excise Duty £0.00 Import Vat £6.28 Other £0.00 Clearance Fee (Zero rated Vat purposes) £13.50 Total £19.78 Bloody rip off! |
not only you to get stung by customs, but now you know you can set % to declare @ hk checkout so no customs charges again

Attachment 26409 |
Yes mate my battery pack has been top quality so far. great stuff :) i really recruitment buying from them but be very careful of customs.
|
I use hobbyking batt & esc/motor for 2 years now.(offroad 2wd )
Works great! Motor has a nice powerband, esc stays cool and is smooth. you have to set your EPA to 100% for a good setup. Packs have plenty punch for offroad, nano's are even better! http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...00Kv_100A.html |
Sorry, stay on topic:
I'm from the netherlands, it takes 4 weeks to get here. My frinds "the customs boys" like big boxes!! Bubble bags pass custom easy. When i have an issue with customs, I sent a copy of the "original" custom invoice witch you can find on the bottom of your order info page. This reads ontop "ching chong wong fu repair service" So refirbidge/repairparts for the ammount you set at the ordering stage. letter to the customs, wait 3 days and.....collect. Sadly here it costs 15 euro custom handling costs. |
