B4?, good choice!

Mini Spikes Yellow for Drive Wheels... same on the front with inner and outer rows cut off/staggered ribs or cut ribs.

Are you sure Dudders!!!!?

Should make my first Tuesday session tomorrow. Get some laps in ahead of Sunday. See you there.

Dudders 25-07-2011 11:10 PM

Lol that jump won't be there tomorrow! It will be on a slower part! It's was until we got bored and move it! Awesome fun! In the end we flatted it and landed!

IainC 26-07-2011 06:17 AM

Awesome bashing!!!! Roll on 7pm....! :)

Dr_UpGrade 26-07-2011 12:53 PM

ohh that looked like fun on the main straight there!

Just a thought, do 'we' need to try to design a bit more kick at the lip into the jumps to stop the back end coming up, quite so much. Very much like whats done to mtb and bmx jumps..? (very similar to the jumps they use at Taplow actually). I've got some thick plywood that could be used for the main brace part, but would need some light flexible ply to go over it... Anybody got any spare?

Streeter 26-07-2011 01:56 PM

Its worth a try! although not sure they need the extra kick, if you notice in the video first time over was with throttle on and the car came down on its rear, second time over was throttle off and came down on its front......all about getting the throttle balance right on take off and in the air.

Dudders 26-07-2011 03:24 PM

Also these jumps are just ramp jumps. Terry (Streeter) is also doing a table top which will have a curved entry face to get some backflip action (joke!)

Dr_UpGrade 26-07-2011 04:04 PM

Neil and Terry, not dissin what you've done at all, just that it would make the cars fly better (off throttle) if we did add some kick to them.. As they do in the worlds of mtb and bmx jumps. Simple straight ramp jumps don't make life easy for you and as Terry said, its then about throttle control all the way thru... sometimes its nice and easier to just let it 'fly'

(yes I am an advocate of go big or go home!)

:p

Dudders 26-07-2011 09:38 PM

Wow, what a turnout!

Thanks for all your support with SHRCCC, seeing a crowd like tonight makes it all worthwhile

Awesome fast racing throughout the grids and we just managed to squeeze in 3 rounds of 4 heats and finals, just!

Trophy meeting on Sunday where it'll be a bit more relaxed

Think the jumps went down well!!!

Dudders 26-07-2011 11:56 PM

Great night as always, we just about mange to beat the light although my pink mean machine would have been seen at all times :)

Jumps were good and added a little more of a challenge, superb layout and the racing was great.

Roll on Sunday!!

Dr_UpGrade 27-07-2011 04:55 PM

Yep Top nite (again!!)

Couldn't help noticing the 'other' ramps towards the back of Race HQ, now get those covered in astro and yer really talking!!! :p

Am away for a few weeks now, so everyone have a good time and good luck for those in the shootout last round and the final!!

Mark
