CML Raceway 27th Jan

Hello Everybody!!!!

CML Raceway on the 27th of Jan is going ahead and with fine style....

we are going to try and doalot of track work between now and then and get it nice fresh and looking good....

if people could book in this would be great!!!! looking for a nice healthy turn out in order to start the new year well and give people that extra jump practise that they are crying out for!:D

the track may have some little tweaks of adjustment to help make the track better in many ways and some good drivers to turn up to!!!

this would be an awesome time to get practise in for the big meeting in the summer that the raceway has in store!!!!!!!!!!!

book in now on

[email protected]

Lee;)

Nick Goodall 10-01-2008 01:51 PM

I'm there mate.

Would be great to get a good number of people pre-booked for this one as we're all aware how much effort is required to put on meetings and provide a nicely prepared track.

The food as always will no doubt be spot on and the racing is always good at this track!

Hello!

I'm considering entering, as the track looks ace.

I might have my B44 sorted in time too, however I think I'll run my B4.

I've got a quick question about tyre and motor selection? What would work best out of these...

2WD

Rears
Bow Tie rears
Schumy Yellow Mini Pin
BB Green Mini Spikes
Hole Shot Rears

Fronts
Step Pin
Schumy Yellow Mini Pin
BB Green Mini Spikes
Schumy Yellow Mini Spike

4WD

Holeshot's all round
Schumy Yellow Mini Pin's all round

And, the motor's I have are...

10.5 Brushless - Nosram, currently in the B4
5.5 Brushless - Novak, planned to go in the B44
10x2 Brushed BRM

If someone could give me some guidance, that would be great.

Cheers.

Southwell 16-01-2008 02:06 PM

Ahaha, i read it as the indoor event!!!!

jim76 16-01-2008 02:19 PM

it it's wet then bow ties on the rear of the 2wd will help give you drive. Ideally you want to pair them with ribs on the front as sch mini's will understeer in wet.

BB pink spikes are ace in 4wd in the dry or damp, yellows are ok as long as it's not too wet.
i ran BB pink rears and yellow front mini's at the regional in the summer which gave a nice balance, but the track was pretty hot then.

2WD

Rears
Bow Tie rears = work well and fun to drive
Schumy Yellow Mini Pin = Not in wet
BB Green Mini Spikes = work ok, slightly slippy!
Hole Shot Rears = only in dry, so not this tiem of year

Fronts
Step Pin = yeh
Schumy Yellow Mini Pin = not in wet
BB Green Mini Spikes = yeh
Schumy Yellow Mini Spike = not in wet

4WD

Holeshot's all round = not in wet
Schumy Yellow Mini Pin's all round = not in wet

And, the motor's I have are...

10.5 Brushless - Nosram, currently in the B4 = slow and smooth.
5.5 Brushless - Novak, planned to go in the B44 = be fast
10x2 Brushed BRM = quite fast

Motor depends on experience of driver.

I hope to be coming down with the Griff, don't know what class yet, depends what goodies JC brings to Newbury Sunday.

What tyres do I need LEE?

Lee Martin 17-01-2008 12:31 PM

for a safe option BB pink spikes work well and also M3 steps and ribs.

lets face it, i dnt think it will be dry! lol

you want booking in?

JC racing?

Body Paint 17-01-2008 12:35 PM

Step pins I can do, Ta!

JC = Jonathan Clark aka Atomic Carbon,

I don't know if I'm doing 2wd or 4wd yet.

I'll let you know Sunday if your at Newbury, that OK

Lee Martin 17-01-2008 12:40 PM

Thanks very much for that Lee. Looks like I'll be racing the B4 then I guess. Probably Brushed i guess, as the 10.5 is a bit underpowered, even indoors, so I'd expect it to be pointless using that.

I'll let you know asap if i can book in.

c0sie 17-01-2008 10:29 PM

Rog - If you were talking to me: Every car I borrow I break *crys*
Captain Harris - w00t! Thats a plan! Just hope it dont rain cos im a micro dirt hater at heart :D
