Batley Nat

Does anyone know if there is room for tents there? I heard caravan space got filled up very quickly.

Chrislong 19-06-2006 02:13 PM

You say tents, I say - how many tents are you taking? :jimmeh

Cockerill 19-06-2006 03:17 PM

A football field? That should be big enough unless there is some heavy flooding, that quickly drains away, leaving all the lovely dead worms and smell :D

hey it happened two years ago :o

Southwell 19-06-2006 07:38 PM

Cheers, lol. Never been before so didnt know how much room or if u had to prebook room or something.
My tent is really big lol...well compared to most i seen ;)

Oscar 19-06-2006 08:13 PM

Just think Em, you could throw up without having to spend ££s on those 1/2 sugar breezers:p

WHITTLER555 19-06-2006 09:55 PM

It says nothing about booking in caravans on the info sent by the club in the BRCA pack, however we ran a regional there last month and it was so wet we had to get a jeep to tow the caravans back up the slope onto the pitch as it was that wet.

So if you are going with a caravan, bring a tow rope and a 4x4.

Oh, and can you tow me out when i get stuck!:o

losixxx 19-06-2006 10:17 PM

says nothing on info sheet but was mentioned at drivers briefing at southport national, something to do with the new skate park and access if think. anyone who wants to take caravan needs to contact paul worsley

bigred5765 19-06-2006 10:44 PM

whats all this about the caravans no one has metioned this hope its wrong we are bringing ares some one get in touch with me if its a problem

losixxx 20-06-2006 06:40 AM

OldTimer 21-06-2006 12:16 PM

Anybody got some directions to the track from the M1 northbound or the M62 ? just got the call that i am racing sunday :D

jimmy 21-06-2006 12:21 PM

Ace!

rag up the M1 - get off onto the M62 at J42 i think. Go left - towards manchester.

I'd get off J27 and follow the A62 towards huddersfield miself, but there is a junction (26 or 25???) that is closer to the track... so someone else will have to chip in here .. :)

OldTimer 21-06-2006 12:26 PM

Cheers jimmy, trying to find the track on google earth, but its like looking for a needle in a hay stack lol.

I don't mine a longer route if it makes it easier to find, Jackie said i need to be there for 7.30am  so i will be half a sleep. If anyone has a post code that would be great.

Just remembered i got to take the brushless out :( bugger

losidan 21-06-2006 12:29 PM

way

Yeah you are right jimmy. Easier to come off at the junction after (signed as bradford on m62 me thinks.)Follow the signs for dewsbury which is the second turn of the roundabout. Just keep going straight until you see an athletics stadium (Small) on the right. You want the next right which is a filter off the road. Number of the m62 junction escapes me sorry.

Losidan is correct and the junction is J26 M62 - head for Dewsbury and it's about 3 miles ish from the motorway.

Chris

OldTimer 21-06-2006 06:33 PM

I was 8th on the reserve list and got a call last night that i was in, so there maybe a chance you could get in ?

Btw thanks for the directions :thumrigh:

Chrislong 21-06-2006 06:55 PM

if you get lost and need to ask directions, ask for Spenborough Baths as thats where the track is.

chrislee 21-06-2006 07:04 PM

If anybody wants to Google Earth the track, the postcode WF15 6LW takes you pretty close (just down abit, then right abit)

Chris

Chris

Or even sat nav it ;) , the postcode is for Spenborough Baths which is where the track is, as Mr Long said, but Google Earth picks up the houses on the main road.

Cockerill 22-06-2006 08:39 AM
