Broxtowe indoor off road, Yes its True!!!!!!

BMCC Indoor Off Road
Your favourite local model car club will be putting on three amazing indoor off road meetings on the first Sunday of February, March and April 2008 at our indoor venue at greasley.
Details how to find us at www.broxtowemcc.org.uk
Doors open 9.00am, racing starts at 10.00am latest.
Maximum 64 drivers only. (8 heats of 8 drivers)
The number of drivers per class will be filled by natural selection.
Pre booking not essential but strongly recommended. Yes you can turn up on the day, but you may be dissapointed!!!
You can pre book by emailing me at [email protected] with your Name, class (2wd or 4wd) and crystals.
To absolutely guarantee your place you can pre pay by paypal to the same email address. You can send a cheque as well, email me for postal address.
Places will go to drivers who have paid up front, then to drivers wishing to pay on the day.
I will put a list of confirmed drivers here as often as possible.
There will be the some amazing obstacles for you guys to get over. These are currently under construction, watch this space for updates. Pictures will follow!
We will only be charging £5 for club members and £6.50 for non members for a whole days off road racing.
Tyres will be the now common Schumacher mini pins.

If demand is more than 64 drivers then we have a contingency plan to allow pitting in the other hall at Greasley.
Get your pre booking done now. We are putting a lot of effort into this and hope that plenty of drivers will come to support us.
You will not be dissapointed!!!!!

Errr wont it just be like hitting a brick wall. It looks really really steep:eh?::eh?::confused::confused:

lil ben

Alan 23-12-2007 11:58 PM

There will be another one the same as that one to the side of it, with a divider in the middle. You go up the left hand side and down the right hand side then rejoin the track looking/feeling as cool as can be!:D:D
No brick wall in sight!

blitzboy 24-12-2007 01:22 AM

Ben, it does look a bit on the steep side but when the two ramps are put together with the track marking in the middle the marking its self won´t go all the way up the ramp, so if your taking the corner on the driving line you´ll only be at a vertical angle for a split second.

No doubt there will be some nutters taking the wide line or carrying on up the leisure centre wall!:D

Think it looks good and will drive well. :)

blitzboy 24-12-2007 02:32 PM

that will probably be me by accident :o
pm sent for booking in :)

ben 24-12-2007 02:39 PM

Yeh i seem what you mean about not been on it for very long. This is what i see a wall of death as http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/euros...dayone005.html

lil ben

RSharpy 24-12-2007 06:35 PM

That does look one awesome wall of death but thats out doors with much more space. Indoors is a lot more limited to what you can do.

Ben, are you booked in to come and give it a go?

Rich.

ben 24-12-2007 07:26 PM

rich i dont think ill be able to come. Its about an hour and 45 minutes from where i live. Ill see if some of my mates want to go then i might be able to get a lift. It just seems so far to travel if its not part of a series im doing:) ill see

dbizzle5 15-01-2008 09:06 PM

lookin good! are you running buggies on saturday nights aswell now or were you just testing it?

it was just being tested, i would like to be able to run buggy's at the club though

nottmboy 15-01-2008 09:45 PM

dont think weve really got the room to run two classes im afraid. just make sure you get your entrys in for the sundays and there will certainly be a full series next winter but it does need everybodys support.
as for nailing cars to ramps i dont know what you mean

RSharpy 15-01-2008 10:22 PM

dbizzle5 24-01-2008 12:16 PM

Any thought and ideas on track layout yet Alan? Also what tyres is it? Is it minipin only? Front and rear?

Alan 24-01-2008 08:25 PM

Track layouts have been trialled, overall design to be decided Soon.
Minipins only please.

Thanks

Alan

dbizzle5 24-01-2008 08:30 PM

Is the surface goin to be mainly carpet? If so then mini pins are a bit edgy! Grip roll is a killer!:o:o

There will be carpet. But there will be plenty of different surface as well. :eh?:Espeicially on the corners so grip roll wont be an issue.:)
