Apologies for the teething problems guys. It was all in my haste to try and get on-line booking up before the end of the week without checking with the experts first! You can now easily book in for both classes on the main booking in screen.

The meeting is being organised by Much-More UK and the Teesside club with some great support from CML Distribution and FTX.

It's a fantastic venue and will be a superb track so come along and enjoy some superb racing and maybe even recruit a few new members for the North East!

Thanks again,

Keith.

There's still a lot of work to do on the track over the coming weeks. At the moment it is a large hard standing concrete surface but will be partially (not all) covered with the artificial grass and jumps etc.

Dalton 15-04-2011 08:43 AM

Keith do you have any LiPo saddle packs in atm ? if so what type and how much m8 ?

Hi Tony,

The meeting is at 'Lanchester Nursery, Lanchester, Durham, DH7 0SS'. It's about 10 minutes off the A1 or A167, just off the A691 Durham to Consett Road. Directions here

Best wishes with the new addition to the family.

Keith.

Thanks for booking in Chris. Will be a great weekend and nice to see booking in filling up quickly.

As for a permanent venue, there's a lot of question marks just now, but we'll see ;)

KeithA 15-04-2011 10:43 AM

If anyone plans to visit the Garden Centre to have a look around before the meeting, then to find the track area, go through the main entrance next to the food hall and coffee shop, go into the first poly tunnel and make you way outside again into the nursery and landscaped garden area. If you walk up the path then the track area is opposite where the birds of prey, owls and sheds, playhouses etc are.....you can't miss it.

We'll be pitting on the area next to the track and for those wanting to camp, this will be either in the field outside the main entrance or in the field next to the track. Caravans can park up towards the top of the large parking area.

Hi K

Will there be a more convenient access on the race weekend? Hope so

Hi Bill,

Access is good Bill. We'll be able to load/unload right next to the track so won't have to walk through the main entrance/shop area with all the equipment.

Please note, this overhead picture was from several years ago before the current owner invested in the site!

The black outlined areas are proposed camping areas (still tbc which ones we use)

Unlucky Jeff! At least you will be doing some nationals!! Like Chris g said, how good would this be if the north east could get a track sorted, how about speaking to Keith to see how possible it is to get it permanent even if he wasn't interested and we could all come together and sort it out??

I believe the format will be qualifying by FTQ, and the last qualifier is on the Sunday ...... so ......... if you can wake up in time, put in a stormer single qualifier, you can have your 3 legs in the A Final

Race Format is detailed below so you can still turn up Sunday and run 1 qualifying round before your finals. Qualifying is by FTQ.

Saturday, practice, 4 qualifying rounds for 2wd and 4 qualifying rounds for 4wd
Sunday, practice, 1 qualifying round for 2wd and 1 qualifying round for 4wd then 3 leg finals for all in both classes
Qualifying is by FTQ, Finals are 2 out of 3 to count
if you enter 2wd AND 4wd then your heats/finals will be spaced out
You can book in for 2wd only, 4wd only or BOTH classes on the entry screen on Central Booking
Entry fee only £6 per class

cmgreen 09-05-2011 05:04 PM

Keith do u think we could get the track permanent?

No matter how slow you are - even slower than me if that's possible - you still get to race in the Sunday finals - everyone who books in for the Sunday gets in a final, all graded into their respective 10 car final by their qualifying times.

If you want 4 qualifiers on the Sat, and 1 qual & 3 finals on the Sun, book in for both days - double those numbers if you enter both 2 & 4wd classes.

Cheers

We just have to play the waiting game at the moment I'm afraid.

KeithA 10-05-2011 09:08 AM

Maybe by the time you are back in the UK Dan! Hopefully, not that long.

chrispattinson 18-05-2011 10:24 AM

In an effort to see if I could make it for 1 round of qualifying and finals, what time will final round of Q be on the Sunday?

KeithA 19-05-2011 08:43 AM

Track etc

Hi Chris,

I think Bill is planning to leave the timetable until a bit nearer the date of the meeting so we have an idea of entry numbers. I wouldn't have thought the last qualifying round on Sunday would start much later than 9am.

Here's a quick update on the draft track plan - any thoughts from anyone?

racdeaf 19-05-2011 09:24 AM

looking good that

baD 19-05-2011 12:24 PM

Anyone who can do the double on the left AND put it through the green house is gonna need BRCA insurance - but then again everyone who saw it would probably chip in for just being able to say - "I was there" :woot:
