HPI Flux PRO Motors

http://www.hpieurope.com/graphics/pa...101727_01x.jpg

Tested and developed by the HPI/HB race team over the past year the all new motor from HPI/HB has arrived and has been shipped this week

Legal for BRCA use now!

Motors RRP for £64.98

Available in the following winds 3.5T, 4.0T, 4.5T, 5.0T, 5.5T, 6.5T, 7.5T, 8.5T, 10.5T, 13.5T, 17.5T and 21.5T

We have 5 rotors available for all classes and possible conditions 12.2mm, 12.5mm (STD), 12.8mm 13.0mm and 13.5mm. All BRCA legal from now! Although with the Stock motors you can only use the optional 12.2mm as regs state nothing bigger than 12.5mm which is included as std.

http://www.hpieurope.com/graphics/pa...101822_01x.jpg

We also have a unique attachable fan for inside the motor  This secures via 2 grub screws onto the rotor and will kep internal temperatures down without any noticeable power change, very useful for high demand stock motors, will be BRCA legal when they arrive with us in a few weeks (around end of April). Very light and cool (pardon the pun)

Motors come with colour printed box, manual, 200mm sensor cable (black), extra metal shims for rotor spacing (no O-rings here!!) and colour decal sheet for the extra bit of bling.

Available from all good model shops now

HPI flux pro motors are now in stock!

MB Models have them in stock and listed on their website:

http://www.rccarshop.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=23

Take a look at the price, absolute bargain!

I note the HPI Flux Q-base is a rebadged MMP - that's not a bad speedo! Nice price too at Modelsport.

The Sidewinder V2 doesn't appear to be sensored, so maybe something else?

mikeyscott 22-04-2011 04:14 PM

Don't list 7.5 on their site.

Tried that :( everyone must be enjoying the long break..

Running a 7.5 and 6.5 V3 at the mo, but want to change to HPI. How much of a like for like is there, i.e. is a 6.5 HPI going to be like a V3 5.5? Spending a fair amount of ££ and don't want to land the wrong motor..

mw02veg 24-04-2011 04:35 PM

Whiskers 31-05-2011 07:20 AM

How are people finding these motors?

simoncrabb 31-05-2011 01:27 PM

I'm running 6.5 in 4wd and 7.5 in 2wd and they are AWESOME.

I can honestly say they are as quick as anything out there, I was lacking nothing in speed on Sunday in 4wd, easily as quick, or quicker, than the 5.5 whatever in the car that won...

I had several people come up to me and ask me what was in my car, so that says it all really!

HIGHLY recommended. We're stocking most popular winds, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, 10.5, 13.5

Hulk 31-05-2011 02:45 PM

I can honestly say these motors are nothing less than superb!!

Ive been running a 6.5 in 2wd and 5.5 in 4wd.

I made the A final on both days at Talywain National this weekend. The cars were as quick, if not quicker down the straight as any other car in the A-main .

Had no issues with reliability at all.

You really can't go wrong buying one of these motors.

Craig

Ben Cosgrove 31-05-2011 02:46 PM

 i knew you would like them

Whiskers 31-05-2011 03:54 PM

Also what would be the best speedo to pair with these motors? Is it worth waiting for the new HPI Pro Flux speedo?

Hulk 31-05-2011 03:56 PM

Yes i would wait for the HPI Speedo. Not sure when it will be released, but believe me it will be worth the wait

Whiskers 31-05-2011 04:01 PM

How do you program the HPI speedo? It is with a laptop or a card?

Hulk 31-05-2011 04:12 PM

The current HPI speedo that ive been testing is a one touch set up. You then have a seperate unit that you plug your speedo into to change your settings.

The only time you need to use a laptop is if you want to use the turbo boost. You download the softwear onto your laptop and programme your speedo from your laptop.

Like i say this is only needed if you want to run the turbo boost, otherwise you set up the speedo just like any other.

Again ive found the speedo to be second to none, so just think how good the final production version will be!

Defo worth the wait

6.5t HPI Motor

I bought the 6.5t HPI motor a few weeks ago and I have run it twice now. So far it is going great, a good improvement from my old Losi Xceleron motor. I am interested and would like more info about the internal cooling fan or rotor as I run a B-Max which is a heavy car and makes the motor run very hot. Any info would be much appreciated.
