Guessing this is what Tom Yardy was running at Chadderton over the winter.
|
So that leaves the 201 only native rear motor car. Lee's not going to have an easy time
Any extra pics etc? |

Who is to say Lee Martin hasn't got something new ??? Tamiya are always looking to improve.... First national will be a good one!!! |

Come on spill the details? Will certainly be interesting to hear who is running what. I'm not at the nationals, but looking forward to Jimmy's great reports |
Anyways..back to the CML/Associated car :)
If Atomic Carbon have had anything to do with it, it will be (and look) the bollox :) |
It does look very nice, and has been very impressive in testing.
|
Is this an AE kit?

As far as I know its a conversion kit, being released by CML Distribution, to convert a B4.1 to a mid-motor "C4.1"

i believe, but will need to confirm that you can also convert from a B4 but you would need the 4.1 outdrives as well.
having seen the prototype going its very very good. john |

i have had the confirmation that you can convert from a b4 with the addition of a couple of 4.1 parts, i believe one of the main developers will be along later to say exactly what is required.

More details to be released shortly but yeah, its coming, and its awesome! You can convert a B4/B4.1 or even an X6 to a centro. All parts are Associated bar the bespoke items of alu. chassis, 4 gear gearbox casing, rear shock tower and some chassis hardware (battery brace etc.). If converting anything other than a B4.1, you will need B4.1 outdrives as the gearbox has been designed around the dimensions of a B4.1 gearbox. I don't want to say too much more at this stage as CML want to release the information at the rate they wish, but we will shortly be producing a detailed report as to how the car came about, how it has performed in testing and all companies who have been involved in the process. Stay tuned... TY |

so now it's a choice between the Centro or the Vega :woot: any idea on a price for the Centro? |
Quote:
I'll be tempted if its <£150 (the Twenty Two makes anything more expensive look a poor deal) - as I'd be getting a new diff and building from spares to leave my B4 intact, I'd give serious thought to the gear diff (though it got trashed in the Vega B4 threads). |
Tom can you say stick or saddle lay out?
|
any idea of relase date???????:cry::cry::cry:
|
Do a search for atomics old S2 its very similar I believe And yes he was running it at chadderton also

|
Pictures of the prototype Centro 4.1 can be seen in o0ple's report from the Stotfold National
http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/2011national-stotfold/ finished 2nd & 6th in the A final |
hmmm ...... wonder if the chassis will be anodised gold:woot:
|
I think silver or hard anodised will look nice. Has a very clean and pro kit look. No blue, red or green anodise please...don't want it to look like some cheap China rtr kits, for example Heng Long...those look atrocious.:lol::lol:
