Looks like this could be excellent, I haven't raced at Broxtowe in a long time (national or radio race car with Tony Evdoka and Brett Birch "arguing" on the rostrum, remember that Tony?)

I used to do the Snowman and the Badger series there ............ god i'm old

Is the astro laid directly onto the hardcore?

dbizzle5 28-03-2011 01:35 PM

Yeah, its been compressed and flattened by machine then the astro laid on top.

dbizzle5 28-03-2011 06:44 PM

Got to try it out for the first time today!!! Still lots to cut in and needs a sweep and clean up etc but jumps worked well and stuff.

Looks good Dan. One thing I would say - just keep an eye on driver's visability (pardon the pun!!). It looks like there could be a couple of points were the driver might not be able to see the car, and that wouldn't be ideal I don't think. Could just be the camera angle though.

dbizzle5 29-03-2011 05:43 PM

Has all been thought about mate when building it and all the track is viewable:thumbsup:. Weve even built up the corners at the begining of the straight that sloped off so the track width is much more in view.

He will be able to do it with his eyes closed anyway soon:woot:

MattW 29-03-2011 05:58 PM

Oh yeah, that goes without saying! Just thinking about everyone else, especially on the big jumps nearest the driver. Glad it's all fine though.

Dave Dodd 29-03-2011 06:29 PM

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done

thought this was apropriate:lol:

chuckie stella 04-04-2011 06:35 PM

I understand completely!!!

Mossy 04-04-2011 09:25 PM

Is this likely to run Sunday then guys? Got a free Sunday so may well pop up

dbizzle5 04-04-2011 09:31 PM

It should do as long as we get some help on the Saturday. We just have some hoses to fill, concrete to paint and a bit of track sweeping.

dbizzle5 08-04-2011 09:50 PM

All the astro has now been stuck down and finished and all is needed is painting and track markings. Please come and help tommorrow and all will be finished in no time at all if lots show up. Dont know what we'll do if we finish early....:p:p:p

The track looks great!

Shockingly, this was the next recommended video on youtube...

dbizzle5 11-04-2011 06:59 AM

lol. Just kids messing about. We let them use it and dont try to stop them. The track was built to withstand bikes as theres no way of stopping them. Its seems to stop them from trying to burn stuff! Respectful chavs!!

sparrow.2 11-04-2011 10:06 AM

In that case the respectful chavs seem to be having good fun

The track looks fantastic and your X6 really seems to go well! Building a track is an insane amount of work. We did ours last year and it was 2 months of hard graft. First race on new track makes it all worth it!
