"Im Useless"
Nah, you have many uses....... they may not be pleasant uses. LOL.

"since school"
Since school about 6 months ago, wow thats ages. Perhaps you still couldn't spell for toffee when you still were at school? Just a guess.

ashleyb4 18-11-2007 11:18 PM

I can spell its just when i type like this on oOple i always seem to type quick and i spell things wrong.

A :(

DCM 18-11-2007 11:26 PM

try reading what you have typed before hitting that damn 'post reply' key, cause I tell you what, if I was checking any paperwork that you had filled in, I would give you a little space to get it right, but then they would all come back at you with grammatic and spelling mistakes.

People so underestimate the proper use of grammer and spelling, and if you ever EVER go into engineering, best start learning now instead of slinking into poor habbits like gdgd.... this is from the guy who used to think English was just a useless boring subject in school, and never paid attention. We do take the piss over it, and mostly it is light hearted but in the end, what you type is what you mean.

As for Mr Bailey, mans a good 'un and trustworthy.

RogerM 19-11-2007 07:25 AM

Easy DCM ...... I'm a senior design engineer in the automotive fuel systems industry and I can't spell for toffee either....... my best friend at work is the F7 key!!!

DCM 19-11-2007 08:14 AM

yes, but you spell check.... ash don't lol there is a difference. and I am sure you know how much the written word can mean in an engineering enviroment.....

Lee 19-11-2007 02:04 PM

Engineering is ace!!

You only need to know english, as its the "standard"
French:wtf: if your in angola:o

You do need a big stick though to get the little phillipino to earn his 50p an hour;)

DCM 19-11-2007 02:08 PM

hey, we don't want to know what you are paying a phillipino to do for you for 50p..... heehee

Chrislong 19-11-2007 02:23 PM

As for Mr.Bailey, I sent him a servo recently - it had something electrical failing, and id also swapped the metal gears from it for some (dead) plastic gears...

It came back working 100% with the metal gears in again, and its perfect, was done very quickly too.

Without shadow of doubt, id recommend his services.

Phillipino`s are ace, i was working with one on sakhalin island and it was so cold -20 or so. This poor bugger was shivering all day, and his hands were like blocks of ice, and for some reason he would only get his fingers in has pockets and the rest of his hands were sticking out, i kept motioning to push his hands in but he couldn`t, i even tried shouting slowly in english so he would understand (like you do) anyway this went on for days, in the end i put my hand in his pockets and realised his gloves which were in his pockets were stopping his hands going all the way in:D:confused:

i took them out threw them over the side of the platform, he was chuffed he could now get his hands in. I managed to keep a straight face but i think most let out a bit of wee.

ashleyb4 19-11-2007 03:55 PM

DCM 19-11-2007 04:34 PM

knob chops, then you got no excuse for your crap grammEr then..... also, being 'old' when I say failed, I had a D in English lang and an E in lit.... as for me, if you ain't got a C or above... you failed.... and for those older than me.... you would be looking at CSE....

KevLee 19-11-2007 07:58 PM

D for me in English language too! I had to retake it during my A levels and went one higher to a C :D, just enough! although i think they may have given me that to get rid of me :(. That was 15 years ago, wow time flies!

Northy 19-11-2007 08:00 PM

definitely

Steve,

I really would have thought in a thread taking the piss out of Ashley's spelling you'd be using the spell checker yourself!

;)

PaulRotheram 19-11-2007 09:42 PM

Can't see this thread being much more productive. Question has been answered!
