NEW Cut Stagger tire

From REDrc

Schumacher have also introduced their new Cut Stagger tire, which is similar in structure to the original Stagger 2wd front tire but now each of the threads have been cut to split them which gives better side bite for a longer period of time. These tires are positioned in terms of grip between the original Stagger and the Mini pin.

look here: http://www.racegallery.dk/gallery110.../image110.html

And for sure needs inserts

stegger 05-02-2011 11:18 AM

Not sure reg, maybe some of the team drivers could tell us more ? ;)

stegger 05-02-2011 11:20 AM

Cheers ulrich , yeh you can see it has a bigger profile.

racingdwarf 05-02-2011 11:26 AM

mikeyscott 05-02-2011 11:33 AM

Awesome, no more dremelling! Time to order some :)

DCM 05-02-2011 11:37 AM

looks like the carcass is a different style (more mini spike) to the stagger

Adam F 05-02-2011 11:38 AM

Anyone know when they will be available?

Not yet in stock on the schuey website....

Mossy 05-02-2011 11:43 AM

You can run them with and without inserts. Ive tried both and get more initial turn in without.

Si

Gayo 05-02-2011 02:49 PM

WOW, biggest news since PTs and lipo!

I was looking for a bit more front bite out of this thing but did not want to mess with too much.:D

well i had a chance to try these at epr on sunday in the dry . ive got 2 sets one on slim wheels and wide wheels (both with foams in). tried them back to back. i found the slim set seemed to push on entry in the turn and over steer on the way out (could easily change set up to compensate) but on wide wheels they felt really good. had the same level of grip as standard staggers but werent affected by small bumps as with the standard form.

Foams in the wide ones as the middle of the tyre would fold / collapse? I've always prefered the wider config (but that's just me!)

slim's I can understand no foams etc :)

Or shall I just get my coat....

Look forward to them hitting the market :)

Mr O's I expect !

mw02veg 07-02-2011 07:13 PM

i put foams in them both as the size of the side wall is the same as a mini pin/spike and we always run foams in them. the only problem is i glued them to the rims and left the other 2 sets at home so couldnt try them without foams. so i think its stotfold next weeknd to try. fingers crossed for the dry!! and i run mr 'O' slim blue front inserts.

simoncrabb 11-02-2011 10:20 AM

Classic!

Back in June last year I started a rumour that Schumacher would do this ;-)

mw02veg 22-02-2011 10:14 PM

racingdwarf 23-02-2011 01:50 AM

mw02veg 23-02-2011 08:07 AM

losi100 23-02-2011 08:33 AM

racingdwarf 23-02-2011 09:46 AM

"That's what grant will be running this weekend" ....... old type?

As for the tyre rule, Hmmm good question:confused:

mw02veg 23-02-2011 10:31 AM

Yep

May try mini pins aswell

Maritime 23-02-2011 10:53 AM

Dear All

The tyre rule for Off Road Wars meeting stands as it is in the rules

Anyone found using a non ruling tyre will not have a time recorded

Hope this help

Classic!

I've been running these, and they are pretty ace, I like them a LOT.

They're even ace as a 4wd front, for some weirdos...

The new ones are even better, it's less 'tramliney' and the bigger diameter of the new ones helps a lot I think. Recommended!

GRIFF55 12-04-2011 07:44 AM

i think you might lose some forward drive with them on a 4wd front mate! I remember shlong tried them all round for a laugh and the car just sat on the spot when he punched the throttle.
JANUS.......You crazy foreigner!!! lol:lol:
