Ahhh, congrats mate. This is by no means an revolution regarding the construction. But its a Mugen man... Probably still going when other China rides stands besides the track...... :p

It's my 3rd Mugen @ the moment besides the Durango dex410R. Got a MBX6 with a Ninja engine and Team orion servo's (VDS1007 and VDS2015), a MBX6T with an OS Speed XZB and ACE 1015 servo's ... So i love mugen!!!

I want one. Where in the world are you guys? seems they are hard to get hold of in the UK.

i m a bit confused as to what combo to go for?
As i m looking at getting a tekin combo for a mbx6, can you explain why one is better than the other .
The reason i ask is the tracks i will be racing at vary in style ie one track is short tight and twisty and another is large bigger straights but still tecnical another is just wide open easy flowing.

i only want to purchase one motor due to costs so which will be better and can i do anything to compensate for the type of track i will run on.

I guess as i race in uk i will be racing with nitros so i want to have at least the same performance as them if not more.

I think its a good compromise between speed and "comfort" for a Buggy. I used to run a 2200 (MMM) combo in both a Buggy and Truggy. Spot on in the Truggy but the car itself felt a bit sluggish. In the Buggy it was just brute power... A tad to much in fact. But it chewed Nitros as breakfast.... So I think 2050 will be spot on.

What size pinion will work best ?

We used a 2050kv motor on a small to medium size track with good results with 15T/46T gearing IIRC.

Im running the MMM and 2650kv on 3s 14/46 indoor and 16/46 outdoor and its so nice and smooth and quiet, doesnt sound like the AE or Losi chainsaws running around the track. Im in the southwest US so our outdoor tracks are sandy and loamy for the most part and this thing is just sooooo dialed.

Anyone got pics of it painted up with wheels mounted? :thumbsup:

....or is made by associated:p Actually it may not be that they sound any louder than other previous 1/8 electrics its just that the mugen is really quiet.




Pic below is with the castle electronics installed, i have since switched to a Tekin rx8 and 2250 motor, still on 3s just went up to a 16t pinion. Still brutally fast and just tons more control (drift it through the turns with less traction:woot:). Still my favorite thing to drive, EVER.

Anyone in uk selling could be tempting?

Does anyone have experience in driving this compared to say other E-Buggies out there now such as RC8Be, 8ight-E etc...? How does the ECO handle compared o them?
Im going to pick something up soon as I decide.

I only driven the HPI Vorza before my ECO and this is no comparison... The ECO drives very well out of the box! 2 vids from today (my 2nd run with de ECO and still testing)

Anyone have any luck fitting a 4S lipo under the body? I got a 5200 mah SMC pack and body rubs the pack and now the body wont sit right :thumbdown:

No problem with a 4s 4500 lipo over here...

That sux I have a SMC 5200 and it will fit with body pins on but the body sits on an angle due to the battery and would majorly wear the paint. May have to try different battery

this looks stunning!

In the right hands all of those buggies including the mugen are great. But the mugen is probably the best out of the box.
