racingdwarf 03-02-2011 04:46 PM

4wd,4wd,4wd,4wd:rolleyes:

losi8rob 03-02-2011 08:25 PM

not sure which 4wd to get ?:eh?:

racingdwarf 03-02-2011 08:48 PM

Easy, cat sx, buy a new one, use it for 12months by this time it will be schumacher vintage as by this time the will have been 2 diffrent types and a new model:lol:

Kyosho FS mate, good solid car, seems to go well out of the box, would be my choice if I were doing more than one meeting with 4wd and didn't mind getting some more lipos;) ther was a couple of good ones in the for sale section last week

losi8rob 03-02-2011 09:04 PM

i did get 3 more lipo's :p does the kyosho fs take stick or saddle ?:)

racingdwarf 03-02-2011 09:21 PM

saddle mate, now the new sx is comming I don't think there are any 4wds running stick now, thats why I have bought and sx for maritime, I only have stick packs

Dufty07 05-02-2011 04:27 AM

LAZER ZX5 SP

Its gotta b a LAZER ZX5 SP. They r very cheap and very easy to maintain and they use stick packs . the sx is gr8 if u know what your doin, but a bit too complicated for me. Wereas the LAZER is very easy to set up, plus simon is he set up master on them. I run the sp n simon runs the fs, and at petit he used mine in his final and went just as quick as his fs.
you can have a drive of mine on d 13th n c if you like it.

If you find a 4wd U like but are not sure of anything i.e value for money or condition, stick a post on here n we will check it out 4 u...

losi8rob 05-02-2011 10:37 AM

Thanks bud :)

Dufty07 09-02-2011 06:44 PM

just gonna b 4wd it this sun, cant order bits for d 2wd till fri. Still gives me a chance to try n beat all those brushless buggys with there devil tech. brushless mojo.:D

losi8rob 10-02-2011 07:25 PM

I am thinking B44 :) , any thoughts :p

racingdwarf 10-02-2011 07:42 PM

No idea, never even had a go on one, but I think simon will tell you once he see's this;), also JCB had one for a short time if I remember right, both didn't keep them for long! they had B44's not .1's......Kyosho:wub or wait see what might appear from the TLR camp;)

losi8rob 10-02-2011 08:14 PM

Wait wait omg i don't do waiting

SimonW 10-02-2011 08:15 PM

As long as you can cope with the shitty shocks that AE make, then i don't see why not, i can help set it up for you mine was quick just never liked Associated shocks, ever.

losi8rob 10-02-2011 09:19 PM

Thanks bud :thumbsup::thumbsup:

racingdwarf 10-02-2011 09:22 PM

hang on....bet you have already ordered it:D, just can't wait 4wd,4wd,4wd

losi8rob 10-02-2011 09:45 PM

no no i am still trying to choose between ae & kyosho :)

losi8rob 10-02-2011 09:57 PM

& i will buying on here or fleebay :p

Dufty07 11-02-2011 02:31 AM

seriously dude, kyosho are bullet proof, there is no better value 4wd, for a club basher than the Lazer zx5....... added bonus I run one, so spares are available, plus as u improve with it u can bling it right up. The B44 had a nickname "cheese car". not sure why, but would b the only 1 at the club, poss. spares from daves b4 box....
Lazer zx5 on ebay now currently £40 with 12hrs left

BARGIN. comes with some electrics, but rip em out n stick back on bay as they r crap, buggy is a gr8 startin point though...

If that's the choice, go for the Kyosho, I had a B44 when it was new, total rubbish over bumps, think the NBC regional I did was the was time I used it.

Had a drive of a FS2, seemed a nice enough car, not brilliant, but better then the B44.

There are better cars around though;)

jcb 11-02-2011 08:51 AM

I liked my B44 and the drive train did over 3 years with very little maintenance as mine started life as an Atomic Carbon S44 then when LIPO and brushless came out it got converted back into a B44. Was well made, reliable, cheap spares that were easy to get hold of and had loads of space for the electrics unlike so many 4wd's at present.

It wasn't the best on bumpy tracks but it wasn't any worse than some of the other 4wd's about. The B44.1 has the new AE shocks which I think are a lot better and easier to build (although drilling a bleed hole in the shock cap of the originals made them simple to build consistently to, or you could buy Yokomo shock caps) and chassis now gives more ground clearance I think it says in all the blurb which will help.

Personally I'd go with which ever one you can get spares for easily as after all if you can't repair it you can't race it! .

Driven a couple of Kyosho's in the past and sometimes they felt brilliant and other times horrible. The B44 was consistently rubbish on a really bumpy track, but you used the same setup pretty much everywhere and you knew what it was going to do.

losi8rob 11-02-2011 05:00 PM

Thanks for the advice. I will checkout the kyosho that finishes tonight

losi8rob 11-02-2011 11:46 PM

Just going back to 2moro , how bad would the weather have to be to assume it to be cancelled, wet but not raining, raining lightly, heavily etc ?

I only ask as it's a bit of a drive.

Hi

yer i am starting to get concerned:(.weather forcast not to good.

But the thing is the track is normaly quite good as it drains like a dream, the only thing that normaly stops us is if it is raining to hard to stand on the rostrum etc, pitting no probs as we can go inside.

I am away from pc tonight so will just have to see what people want to do. can be called anytime on 07768 316440

will post on here 8am tmro with a sorta plan
