What track what class ?
 

There is a possiblity that Coventry may run 2 different tracks for the F345 finals this year. One day on Astro, other on the Grass. This is for a few reasons.

1, Saves the grass track from getting to rutted and worn for the following day.
2, Less advantage over peole only doing the one day.
3, There were quite a few non local drivers last year that showed a lot of interest on running on the Astro track.

So, with this in mind, what would you F345 drivers prefer to race on, 2wd on Astro and 4wd on grass or vica versa...... Over to you ......

i'd go 2wd astro and 4wd grass. I liked the look of the astro track the other year, and the grass on the Sunday was pretty bare.

My pref would be 2wd Astro, 4wd grass but would be happy either way really.
Maybe start a poll ?

Purely from the wear on the grass track,i would have 4wd on the astro:lol:

I don't mind either way, just hope I get an entry this year :lol:

You have to qualify through your Regionals.

Just to let you all know that it has been decided that the weekend will consist of..... Saturday 2wd on ASTRO track and Sunday 4wd on GRASS track.

Why not just run both days on the astro track? Surely that makes more sense? And just change the layout overnight? :eh?:

Because it gives people more variety on track surface and caters for drivers that like astro and others that like grass. Also it takes any track and surface knowledge away from people who did the Saturday.

Surely that makes more sense :p

entry forms are on line on the new BRCA web site...and yes you have to qualify through your regionals but i believe most entrants get in as not all qualifiers take up their allocation

Posted my entry.

don't really car what surface it is as long as it's dry.

I tell you want it will be ... cold and windy ... Cov is always cold and windy even on the nicest summers day, something to do with being on a high sited airfield.

My advice is to take warm clothes and leave the shorts at home!

As for the track, even if it rains the astro doesn't throw up too much sand so the cars stay relatively clean.

Looking like I might have to miss this event which I am gutted about, especially as the 4wd is on the grass :(

As for Coventry if the wind is blowing it will be cold no mater how sunny it is.

Not on the grass as its suffering from lack of rain for the last few months, Yes to Astro, on August 14th & 28th we have club meetings.

Well, as the closing date was 1st September (yesterday), and then your Regional Rep has to get the entries to Charlie - (who is now on his way to Silverstone for the F2/Jun/Vet meeting) have a guess why?

the triple has gone but it is still a jump, the astro track has had a big make over and a new rostrum to both tracks.
we have been putting the final touches to the astro today.
