Schumacher Yellow Mini pins are most popular, but Yellow Mini Spikes work almost as well.

Oscar 07-11-2007 11:02 AM

URGENT !!!

As it is now Wednesday, and no-one has been in touch regarding the rostrum I thought I'd better post here.
The Rostrum is currently at the outdoor venue and needs transporting back to indoors. We will also need 2 more uprights collecting from my work as the others have been used to store the lawmowers on at the outdoor track. (the floods destroyed to old wooden storage shelves.)
If no-one collects this we will have no indoor meetings (this includes the regional and Supercup !)

So if you have a trailor or large van (possibly a large roof rack may also be ok), please phone or PM me before the weekend.

IF NO ONE DOES THIS WE CANNOT HOLD MEETINGS INDOOR !!!

super__dan 07-11-2007 12:34 PM

How did we get it there last time John, did Andy Hirst sort a van out somehow?

woOdy 07-11-2007 08:05 PM

I want to go and race 4wd, but please let us know about the rostrum. Is that the right times also to book in? and also be there to help out with the track?

PaulRotheram 07-11-2007 08:11 PM

any one know if peter will be attending with the shop? or will anyone be selling tyres on the day? i'm not relying on the post getting my tyres to me on time so need a back up.

Oscar 08-11-2007 12:31 PM

Jez usally brings his shop. Peter will probably be at the regional and Supercup.

Oscar 09-11-2007 10:39 AM

Shane, thanks for the offer. I could meet you at the outdoor track Sunday morning, before going over to Batley to race. If this time is not convenient,I can arrange to pass keys for the container to another club member.
Just to check, I think the beams are around 9ft long, will these fit in your van?

footey 09-11-2007 03:00 PM

Let me know if you need an extra hand loading and unloading the van, I'll be able to come over to help Sunday morning if you want :)

super__dan 10-11-2007 08:08 AM

Shane I’m sure I speak for everyone if I say that your help means the meeting actually goes ahead then you will jump top the head of the queue for power points. That being said at club meetings this is not normally a problem, only at the Supercup last year have we ever had a problem and that was due to a dodgy socket.

Oscar 10-11-2007 09:02 AM

Thanks for help Shane, I'll phone you later to arrange. Dont worry about charging, we'll get you some electric;) If not you can share my 12v.

PaulRotheram 11-11-2007 05:29 PM

Really great day today, the track was ace, very well ran meeting and happy faces all around! It's a shame there are not more indoor meetings as the venue is a goodun.

Man that floors slippy :D

Mrs oOple 11-11-2007 10:29 PM

I too enjoyed the racing, the meeting ran very smoothly I thought. Big thanks to Footey for helping out with the rostrum so that the meeting was able to go ahead! Also thanks to everyone who helped put the track away at the end - many hands make light work!

Looking forward to the next Batley club meeting (and hoping that Dianne will run a 'micro heat' as well!)

Richard Lowe 11-11-2007 10:37 PM

Had a good laugh today, got the S2 going quite nicely and the BJ4 liked the double jump (! :) ), where's that vid Jimmy :D

We did seem a bit rushed though which was a bit annoying, I even struggled a bit to get a set of tires glued up in-between rounds :(

PaulRotheram 11-11-2007 10:41 PM

you didnt need to though mr lowe, i'd of pushed you if it wasnt for that damn bj4 :p

I saw the video on the cam screen, quite impressive!

Richard Lowe 11-11-2007 10:51 PM

It was 2wd, honest! :p

It will make a good demo video to show how strong the car is :wtf:
