AH, could have bought an X6 conversion and upgraded whilst he was at it :D

antnee 30-09-2007 04:55 PM

lol, was someone selling one?

super__dan 30-09-2007 05:01 PM

No but the X6 was the moral victor today after Mcgoo broke our gentlemans agreement and put new(er) tyres on for the final ;)

Elliott Hopkins 30-09-2007 05:17 PM

All in one piece after a day at the CML Raceway. No retightening either.

Bang slap in the mid table. Just where I've been aiming for.

Elliott.

The cheating bugger, I didn't notice that - he managed to keep that quiet...

Today I broke a rear shock tower and mangled a spur gear, not bad considering how high I jumped at Worksop.... oooops.

antnee 30-09-2007 06:08 PM

who was it in the A final for 4wd on the first lap went flying over the jump and broke something on the front(shocktower maybe??), it was a good jump!

Spencer Mulcahy 30-09-2007 06:09 PM

Today the only thing that I have broke is sweat as I have been working.:(

That was Tom Cockerill

MattW 30-09-2007 08:04 PM

Chris, was loving your work with the rear tower!!!!! and btw, i had a spare B4 chassis with me!

For the record - i didn't technically "break" anything (which was a surprise!). Had one way outdrive ring keep coming off - and stripped a ball cup - but that's all fairly normal!

mobile chicane 30-09-2007 08:36 PM

practice the week I did a chassis 2 wishbones a castor block and 2 rear shock towers

antnee 30-09-2007 09:02 PM

Not sure if it was today but i found out why my b4 suffered with traction, had this little beauty binding up the rear suspension :D

rear oil wt: banana thick for the damp please

Chris Doughty 01-10-2007 07:32 AM

my rear tires took some pain.... front's didn't really get much use :D

ashleyb4 01-10-2007 08:12 AM

I had a good day yesterday themost i did was pop a ballstudd off and the screw out of the bottom of my the oen that goes into the wishbone came out but luckly that was i was on my way to the pull off. The ball cup was annoying but it was my fault i just went to tight coming off the second straight and clipped the wall so that cost me about 20 seconds and my 3rd place and that was on to be my best run of the day.:(

At my local club on sunday we built a big banked corner beside the stage which we use a rostrum...... the banked corner was almost level with the rostrum and about 6 feet away from it, so after i finished my heat - making sure i wasn't going to hit anyone first - i tried to jump my xxx cr off the top of the bank and land on the stage ....... xxx cr now needs a new chassis (both edges and both central fins completely cracked. What a goon
