Should be good.

Track surface is looking good. Few more jumps and everything will be spot on for a good winter race.

I'm already liking the table top on the back straight, lots of air time.

MiCk B. :-)

Mugenextreme 12-10-2010 01:35 PM

Anyone got a picture of the current layout.

The track won;t be complete until thursday afternoon. So I'll take some pics on Thursday evening if you're not heading down.

There is already a huge tabletop - about 7m long and 1m high - car get thrown about 3 metres on the air. There will be a cross over and some small jumps made by thursday evening.

Mugenextreme 12-10-2010 06:03 PM

Yeah hope to make it up thursday for a look.

mole2k 12-10-2010 06:09 PM

Track looks great. Hopefully you might organise a days racing during Christmas. I would be up for that. I could also try and and get a few Lads from Cork to go up. Well done.
Regards,
Alan

Legacy555 18-11-2010 08:56 AM

Racing tonight from 6.30pm @ the Naul - have spoken to a couple of people this week and there should be a good turn out

Legacy555 26-11-2010 11:26 AM

Good racing last night. It's encouraging to see cars using minipikes doing well.

We had nine drivers.

Johnny Dungan is getting the hang of the CR2!!!

Time for Ian to go Kyosho I reckon :p

XX4 is known for being weak arround the front too - and its the same layout..... big ugly front bumper could be the answer.....

Did you say it was today that you may have the gearbox done? or next friday?

Hi all,

At the moment racing tomorrow night is looking doubtful. There is supposed to be a deep freeze tonight and the lane from the motorway to the shed could be tricky to say teh least. I have a friend in Drogheda who has reported that the secondary roads around the town are lethal.

Anyone got any opinion on this?

MiCk B. 01-12-2010 11:34 AM

I think cancelling is a serious option at this stage.

N4 & M4 this morning was down to one lane. Hate to think what unused side roads would be like.

I wouldn't see myself heading there. It's 1.5hrs of a journey for me at the best of times. Hate to think how long it would take with the roads as they are at the moment.

RWD in this weather is serious fun!

blade 01-12-2010 12:51 PM

hey all yea i work less than 1/2 mile from the shed and roads are cat no salt on back roads and m1 not great at hme building snowmen not all bad:)

ian h 01-12-2010 01:28 PM

I can't get out of my gates let alone up the hill. Wouldn't even attempt getting there if it were today. I think we should cancel for this week.

dmcracing 01-12-2010 05:47 PM

All back roads very bad around Drogheda,Was up in the Naul today, not passable unless you have a jeep!See what tomorrow brings but not looking good.

Excellent, definitely heading out tomorrow night so

Legacy555 09-12-2010 11:04 AM

Just to confirm;

THERE IS RACING TONIGHT :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Ian and I will be up in the shed from about 5.45pm tonight

Legacy555 10-12-2010 12:39 AM

There was only 5 racers this evening, and one spectator :) , but the good news is that the road up to the track is a little icey up the middle but generally fine.

Once on site, out landlord has the road up to the shed salted, so it's completely free of ice. Toilet however is frozen solid :)

Ian's car has been greatly improved, the XX4 ran and I've started a setup, and the CR2 managed 16.5 second lap and 17 laps in the final (2 laps faster than previous best time) - all thanks to a new front end and home-made steering rack - thanks Mick for the carbon fibre :)

Legacy555 15-12-2010 08:46 AM

There is racing tomorrow night from 6.30pm in the Naul.
No worries about ice or snow now that its a bit warmer - get your practice in for the championship round on Sunday :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Legacy555 29-12-2010 11:48 AM

Hi all,

Anyone wishing to do some practice - I'll be in the Naul from 6.30pm ish till about 8.

Will

Legacy555 18-01-2011 04:17 PM

Hi all,

There is racing as normal this Thursday in the Naul from 6.30pm, see you there :)

Legacy555 11-02-2011 08:28 AM

Good racing in the Naul last night - 8 drivers and very impressive debut for Wayne McGuire. The drivers who are participating in the Thursday night sessions seem to be the most improved overall - it's true; practice does make perfect!

Legacy555 03-03-2011 09:39 AM

Racing tonight from 6.30pm - see you there

Legacy555 02-11-2011 01:55 PM

How nice it is to be able to dig up this old thread again :)

I hope to be out in the Naul tomorrow eve from about 6pm. There will be racing if there is enough people - which there should be.

Who's coming?

You gotta love Thursday night racing :thumbsup::thumbsup:

h0m3sy 02-11-2011 02:05 PM

Thursday's are a no for me mate but I hope to get down for a few Sundays before the Winter Race.
