Never driven it yet, but how about Singapore? Doesn't look the most interesting, but it's one of the longest so would be a test of endurance, either that, or old Nurberg (if it's in the game) through the forrest.

Singapore is a poxy little track, far too fiddley

I'm really liking the new Hockenhiem track, a reasonably short lap so its quick to learn, good variety of corners too.

I was thinking something like a qually session and a 30-40% race to mix things up, non-equal cars and the better drivers encouraged to choose the worse cars

Has anyone else had problems with the game loading on XBOX? Its the only game I've had problems with & according to Codemasters website they are having various loading issues with the game. :(

Tonight the Inbetweeners will be ruling the TV from 10-10:30 so i could say 10:45 would be a safe bet for a quick race, maybe Qualifying and 20%???

I've only done laps of Bahrain, Spa, Monaco & Melbourne so far but all of them are bloody good & hard!

I don't mind which we go for though, and what are the limits on driver assists etc?

I'm in :). Ive only raced the first two tracks of the season tho so I'll need time to practice.

I think the best thing to do is to throw a few tracks in for suggestions, pick one, let us all have a chance to run some time trial laps on the track and we can work out stuff from there.

personally, i've got them all turned off, but I do have auto gearbox.

I don't see any harm in people using them if they want to?

just ordered myself a copy of this so i'll be up for it! :thumbsup:

after some testing last night, the track will be suzuka, its a great track!

we had a bit of a 3-player race, with 15 minute qually, and the qually was great.

here's the plan, get some hotlaps done in time-trial mode, lets collect some PB's from people on Suzuka, then we will have non-equal cars, the best drivers have to use the worst cars.

Awesome Chris, Suzuka was fantastic! Like the idea of people going in non-equal cars though, that should work well!

I'll get on it over the weekend, probably later tonight too actually but i'm away all next week.

I think 'when' to have it depends on what works for most people.

What are we talking of, with hotlaps and game setup (assistance)

hotlaps in time trial while people get used to suzuka, these times can guage what cars people should use.

race format would be a 15 min qually and a 10 or 20% race distance or whatever

any kind of assist you want

I thought it would be useful for everyone to add to one big list as if you go online you can quickly add everyone at once rather then scrolling through pages to try and find Live ID's.

Best option would be an online lobby, with the game mode set as "pole position" that way all cars are legal and we can see each others times etc so there are no hooky laps

Ok. Shall we all set a day/time and race format for the first "official" oOple race.

Also lets state the car rules and track to be used. After setting a time maybe we could all join a lobby and go on from there. I believe 1 person is then in control of that lobby, correct?

Well managed to get the game running before I went off to work. I had 20 minutes to get a quick few laps, and it is soooooo annoying. I had to sit through nearly ten minutes of sodding videos!!!

Eventually started career mode, left most the drivers aids on except for braking (it's called getting away with it 'cos I'm a girl! :p). Got the Lotus to 1st in qualy (seeing as I was the first car out, went down to the back of the grid, and secured 6th place on the very last lap. Almost crashed when I realised I was coming up on Massa to pass him!

Did the first race, and I think I've realised how the human players are beating far faster cars, as I think I was a lot better in the corners, as the other cars have got a lot more straight line speed on me, but I am getting so pissed off at putting 1mm of tyre on the slippy stuff and spinning out, yet other places having the car half on half off the kerbs and accelerating.

Just got to wait for my wheel now :thumbsup:

I was getting pissed off the other night.
Same thing, just touching the kerb, sometimes barely touching them, only for it to spin me out, even without the throttle on.
Racing at spa, trying to ride the kerbs in the chicanes, spinning out. Go to hungary.....you can throw the car all over those kerb, with the power on and still get away with it!
Too many incosistencies for my liking.
watch real F1, and they ride kerbs all the time and REALLY throw them over them too.

My other gripes, Racing wheel to wheel with other cars, only to get a blocking penalty!! WTF!
...and running 5th in bahrain, called into pits and not being released until EVERYONE had gone past. :( It then just got thrown at the crash barrier at the end of the pit straight in anger!!!

If they sort most things out when the patch is released, then this will be an awesome game, but I can't see them sorting much.


ANYWAY!!
I tried suzuka at shauns the other day, got a 1.33.5 I'll have to do it on mine tonight and see where I'm against all online.
