F1! Don't read if your not watching/watched!
Vettell is a toss pot!
He is just becoming so reckless and unsafe! Jenson is the next on his list of take-outs! (which could have been quiet easily avoiding if he wasn't being so aggressive) In my opinion he is far too jealous of Webber and his championship standing, he is pushing harder than his talent allows I think. When are Redbull going to notice and give him a bloody good talking too! But hey, they aren't bothered as its not him that's out of the race is it! Even Martin Brundle commented about him being involved in far too many incidents! and the other bloke (never remember his name) made a comment about his lack of overtaking skills! Only thing I can say is, What a Cock! |

Under investigation twice in the space of 15 laps lol
I think the driver of the day though should go to Petrov! Moved up 14 places and kept his head well in the difficult conditions :D Good result for Hamilton  would have been nice to see Jenson next to him on the podium though. |
Jesus, you cant please some f1 fans, if no one tried to overtake you'd moan and when they do try you moan! He got caught out on the slippery stuff trying to stop from 200mph down to what 60?
Its not like he drove into Button like he did with webber, button just got unlucky. Personally i think it was unfair to penalise vettel with a penalty, but hey ho.... |
We all understand overtaking, but he lost control of his car, permanently taking out a rival, Vettel's driving yesterday was poor considering his 'standing' in F1, I think the best penalty for him yesterday, was smashing the Force India's front wing off, and slicing his own rear tyre.

I have to admit this has been a great year for F1. The drivers have really shown their mettle.
Webber has been really skillfull and controlled, Button has confirmed his reputation of being unable to push a car beyond it's limits. Alonso has let his emotion rule his on track ability (something I like in an f1 driver). Vettel has been my biggest disapointment as he has gone backwards this year, I agree he needs mentoring to get back on track. Hamilton has just been immense this year, in 30 or so years of being a F1 fan he reminds me of some of the greats, it will take alot for him to better the mighty Senna and Hunt but if he keeps improving like this then who knows. |

Fair enough if it had been the slippery stuff as you say, BUT....an alert, level headed driver would have anticipated that part of the track to be lower grip and would have seen common sense and pulled back realising the move could put them or the other driver out of the race! |
Ah, c'mon guys. Sebastian is still a young driver and yet has some sort of learing curve. If he bombed out say Kubica or Senna no one would moan.
|
Maybe his insurance will go up
At least he had the decency to admit he was wrong! |

Can't really say he got caught out, he'd driven the circuit every lap up until then. He knew the track was slippery, he knew that button would defend his position by moving to the inside, which meant he would have to brake earlier. So rather than sticking it behind him, he should have stayed on the outside and gone round him when button had to break earlier.
And before you all start saying 'its easy for you to say that when you're sat at home watching it!' These drivers are paid a fortune to race these cars AND to think as racing drivers, which maens setting up a move before rather than just making a random move, and then sorting out as it happens. As the race stewards said, it was an avoidable crash which removed someone from the race. BUT, I do think Seb is a little hot headed at the moment to be a world champion. He just doesn't seem to be able to calm himself down when things get exciting. And for that reason I think Webber is the more deserved driver at RedBull to be supported for the championship this year....but for some reason, RB don't seem to notice this. |
wing
Slight change of topic but still on the Redbull bendy thing.
Any one else notice the on board camera on Vettela car as he changes direction quickly left to right behind Button it flexes as though it broken from its mounting or is it flexing, me thinks they have something very clever it passes the test but still flexes on track. clever cheating. |
You mean the one on the front wing?
Just found a clip, do you mean the front wing flexing? If so, look at the front wing in the slo'mo', and it REALLY flexes so much, its ridiculous that it passes any FIA tests!.... |
ive actually emailed the FIA over this as TBH even schumacher wasnt as bad as that idiot vettel.
In amy other sport he would have been DQ`d an its about time he was delt with as after that i turned over lol as yet again a good race spolit by the pillocks at red bull. what makes me laugh most is if it had been weber keep being involved hed be looking for a new job but german driver in german bankrolled team hmmmm. All the excuses that hes quick an stuff dont rub TBH F1 drivers are supposed to be the best an respect each other id expect it in tin top racing but not in F1. Bernie an Alain SORT IT OUT !!! |
thats the one
You are spot on Telboy
if we can see it and Mr Whitmarsh now something then im sure the FIA could find it. You watch any slow mo on the Mclarens there wing is rigid the Ferraris move a bit but that bendy Red bull is as plain as day it looks like a planes aileron.:D |
ahhh
Just been on Red bull site even talking about the wobbley wing on there and also loads on twitter, maybe they have been caught out wonder why they did not want a front wing cam :)
|
When that front wing went skidding along the ground after sebastard vettel hit JB I wonder who got to it first. Did horner send one of his monkey,s out quick before McLaren got to it.
They did not want a rearwards facing camera as they said the vortices from the rain would give away their aerodynamics (fair enough) |
The Reason why he lost it was because he braked while in the slipstream of JB's car and then realised he was going to go into the back of him so pulled out however that meant the left hand side had more grip because of higher downforce and started the car skidding.
Yet its still really stupid and if he turned right to stop the oversteer where did he think he was going to go:confused::mad: vettel will never win a world championship until he calms down a bit. hamilton was a bit like this in his first year on and off the track yet he has matured much faster than vettel and vettels been in the sport longer i think:o |
Who wants to bet the wobbly wing didn't help in that situation at all :) probably why he stacked it

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull_Racing Oh, and for all of you who think we still live in the 1940's: Don't mention the war! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfl6Lu3xQW0 |
Totally agree here! Sebastian is a cool young guy, and very talented. But he now seriously needs to calm down!
He's driving like he's the only "important" driver out there, he really needs to show more respect to the guys who are actually ahead of him in the championship. One thing is an "optimistic" pass on an "also ran", doing the same with one of the frontrunners is not very impressing... He has been quite a disappointment this year! Don't care if Webber or Hamilton wins it! They're both top blokes!!! |
Schumacher, in his prime, used to set up a move by cleaning the track a few laps early and then use it for a great move. Not a fan of his now, but if Vettel had used his loaf he'd have known it was a bad move laps in advance and tried elsewhere.
Its a good year for watching F1. With all this shanninanygans, its good to watch, even though some decisions are bad - makes it more interesting to watch. |
It has all become clear now the accident was Jenson,s fault.
Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has suggested that McLaren driver Jenson Button's driving style contributed to his crash with Sebastian Vettel at Spa. "Jenson, braking where he did, just took him completely by surprise," said Horner. Full story: Autosport.com Oh jenson why did,nt you pick up the redbull wing and leg it. I would have loved to see Horner jump off his arse and chase you to get it back. |

jenson was concentrating on the busstop chicaine not who was behind him although vettle is the next top driver, i think he should just calm it down a bit for this year and then fully go for it next year, other wise with all the emotions and hormones building up he's going to hurt somebody !! |
Red Bulls worst enemy is Webber :0 for what ever reason they don't use him in advertising and don't want to, but in the end for a guy that never seemed to drive very well until he got in the red bull he's not having much trouble matching Vettel. Hamilton and Alonso are still young too so Vettel's going to have his work cut out if he's going to go down is history with a good record

Horner just can't accept that vettel can do no wrong can he!:thumbdown: Vettel put his car into the side of his team mate....teammate gets the blame. Vettel puts his car into the side of Button....Button gets the blame for it! Come on Horner, get your head out of Vettels arse and realise he's not that good!!! It was cool and damp at Spa, if button is off line and protecting his position, he IS going to brake earlier!! Obviously Button remembered what happened earlier in the race when they all tried to brake on the damp/wet track....and all went off! Vettel obviously doesn't need to know/remember this as in his mind, he is the only car on track, and nobody else matters! Idiots. Get this wing tested and ban them for being cheats! ...only thing there is....it'll be Webber that gets punished more, as he has had the better season. If something does come of all the front wing stuff, I feel sorry for Webber. |
Naaaaaaaa... I'm pretty sure those wings will pass any tests the FIA can throw at them! Newey's a smart little bugger!
It's gonna be a VERY exciting end of the season as Lewis and Mark battle for the title!!! |
I have just watched a bbc video of JB talking about his race with onboard footage from his car.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/8955015.stm JB says that at the time of the collision the track was COMPLETLEY DRY, watch the complete video and as he says Vettel was braking behind him for 16 laps. SHY I dont think its between Lewis and Mark theres still a lot of points to play for and with a moron like vettel on the track anything could happen. Even discounting him cars do fail from time to time and real accidents can happen. |
Check out the flex on this video! It twists when he dives out of jensons slipstream.
