Hi there i would really like to know.....

Who bought all the fookin posh Tamiya parts!!!!!!!!!!!

Just trying to order the posh bits for my 511 after Roundy decided to give it a good raping at Nationals... but noooOOOOooo theres nothing!!

Come on own up whos got like 20 sets of the posh shocks and all the blingy turnbuckles??? What about the ball studs that arent made of cheese??? Rear hubs, are they made of gold then anodised blue or something, is that why theres none avaliable on any continent! Arrrrrrrrrrrgh!

I managed to find the ali servo saver and a diff spring in about 2 hours searching, oh and some serrated wheel nuts!! Its a joke!!!!!!!!!

Does the 201 come with all the posh bits?? Do they fit the 511?? If so im just going to buy one rob the posh bits and then sell the rest to one of you tamiya parts whores! You know who you are!!!

And that is exactly why I've gone Durango. After years of faffing about with spares for Tamiya cars I've had enough of it!

(I've no idea how Roundy drove your car, those diffs were shocking!)

The turnbuckles are in stock here (until someone decides to order them all) http://www.racingfactory.fi/products...01XDurga-parts

I've understood that there is a new version of the rear alloy hubs coming and thus the old ones are low / out of stock.

Thats because they dont make any sexy parts for a Durango!

It can be difficult to get parts at time but they are out there, you just have to buy them when you see them.

If your break anything blue on the car, your screwed.

GRIFF55 18-08-2010 07:59 AM

I think gibson has all the parts!!! haha. The new rear hubs are seeeexxxy, they have a bigger outer bearing too.
Ask champ or stella kif, they can usually get all

Are that the ones you want?

Now remember to visit modell-bau-seidel.de if you are looking for parts. They have fair prices and fast shipping.
Even got 511 kits in stock.

That's because it doesn't need anything else to make it more sexy, already perfect:thumbsup:

After lee hit that bloody corner a million times and a back flip, i doubt he'll have anything left.

Well thanks to ebay (thanks Jan!) and Rich D for emailing me all the stuff I couldn't find I have everything nearly....

Still need wjich ever o rings i need to build up the shocks.. am i supposed to use the competition o rings?

Also need rear hubs and grey ball cups...... Then im allllll happy!

I'm not going to lie, i did look at the durango, and this will sound strange but Gerd tried to marshall my car at Neo with a brush, kinda put me off!

Any help on the last parts would be ace!!

AaronR 18-08-2010 03:39 PM

Kyosho shock o-rings work very well. Part number W5184-05

Jan Larsen 18-08-2010 05:30 PM

The competition o-rings are shit. By the time you're done adding shims to stop them leaking, they operate the same as conventional orange o-rings.
There's the "whities" from some shop I cant remember the name of which I'd like to try out, but the conventional ones work just fine. It could be that my shocks are getting a little worn (1,5 years old), but I have to add a shim or two in the front shocks to stop them leaking completely.

Keith

I use the clear orings from the TRF416 touring car and assemble with a little AE green slime from new. They 100% dont leak and feel much smoother than the std ones.

I tried the orange orings initially and i found them to bind a little before the piston moved. Its as if the orings are a fraction too large. I spoke to Lee about it and he says he uses the std orange ones but he was going to check out the clear ones when he had a chance. You can use the TRF blue ones but they are both pricey and they leak unless you compress them with shims within the shock body.

The o-rings i use are here ( you need 2 packs per car )

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamiya-53574-D...oControlled_JN

green slime

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Team-Associate...oControlled_JN

And dont forget the TRF guide set for your 511 ( the 201 comes with this set as std but the 511 doesnt ) - one pack per car

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamiya-53979-T...oControlled_JN

Lastly, these help stop the long screws that mount the tops of the shocks from bending and also take all the play out of the top mount of the shocks. youll need 2 packs per car - they dont come with the 201 either.

Yes they do, I've used them before for tamiya bits.

They even said if I had any issues with navigating the site just email them the part numbers and can do the transaction over email/paypal.
