Impressed with their helicopter flying skills. Still don't understand how a helicopter can fly upside-down.

'3D' helicoptors dont vary the speed of the rotor to control how much lift they get, it runs at a constant rpm and they vary the angle of the baldes

so, they can turn the angle of the blades to a negative angle and reverse the thrust that the rotor gives.... very clever!

You just reverse the pitch of the blades so they are pushing air in the opposite direction :)

The ability to use negative pitch was designed for autorotation (power the rotors from the air flowing over them during a decent without an engine) so you could emergancy land a helicopter, they got developed to a point to enable stunt flying and completely inverted flight though.

Reasons:

1.I don't have that much moola.
2.I can't fly a helicopter.
3.I wouldn't risk breaking a revo.:p

BUT i want to give it up because it's SO DAMN EXPENSIVE!!!!! and not to mention dirty. If you think that your cars get difty, first coat your car in grease and run it through a dry dusty field. And halfway through coat it with more grease because that's exactly what the engine does. Even if you have it sealed up. But hey, i can't help that i like it. The fact that it's so loud it makes your neighbors come outside just makes me love it even more. And that thik trail of white smoke makes me wonder why we don't run real cars on nitro, but that's another thread. AND my first car was nitro. And my second. But my third was electric, and BACK THEN i didn't know anything about it. The box made me believe that the car was extremely fast. (it was a traxxas stampede) (yeah, i know).
