You can't go wrong with an accord, especially the 2.2.

My Mondeo is a great cruising car, its not the new new style but the 05 type. The only downside is 43mpg max at 80mph, the upside is it will still do 40+ fully loaded.

now your just being picky !!!!!;) :D :D

lazerboy 22-08-2007 01:09 PM

who says the factory five can't tow? and it will definitly beat that little yellow piece of crap. Most american cars are good for one thing, drag racing. But i hate drag racing. So, i stay away from anything mustang or corvette like. This car however, was designed to look like a cobra, but it has racing suspension that is fully adjustable. AND... you can build it to weigh in at 1300 pounds.

ashleyb4 22-08-2007 01:26 PM

American cars are crap at everything. lol

If we're basing our opinions on what top gear tells us then we'll ignore the ford GT40 shall we? :P

ashleyb4 22-08-2007 02:52 PM

I agree with top gear but i didnt get my opnions from top gear.

Americans have no need for good handling fuel efficient cars. Corners dont exist over there and the fuel is cheap enough they dont need fuel efficiency, also, the size of the cars is immense, even the estates are humongous.

lazerboy 22-08-2007 03:07 PM

good handling? no need. because we have speed limits. because we have stupid drivers. BUT! there are the few who have cars that can actually take a turn. and not only left ones.(i hate nascar). HAHA! and some of us actually complain about fuel prices! diesel is about $2.00 a gallon, so that's about 1.61 pounds. CHEAP! The factory five cars are kit cars. Specifically degigned to handle better and look the same as the originals. And also be cheaper. What exactly is an estate car?

tc2k 22-08-2007 03:11 PM

Sorry but your post made no sense

lazerboy 22-08-2007 03:16 PM

i'm sayng that the majority of the pop. needs not a good handling car, but rather one that hauls alot of sh*t. There is an exception though. If you saw myy thread titled real cars, you would understand what i'm talking about.

Kash 22-08-2007 03:28 PM

I'd have a factory five Awesoeme!!

lazerboy 22-08-2007 03:30 PM

mee too(if i had any money:D)

mark christopher 22-08-2007 03:52 PM

so how come uve got 20k us to spend on a truck?

YES!!!!! i want it capable of rock crawling, but set up to race. Some baja things are set up like b4's, but most are 4wd. if you google baja 1000, the baja website shows pics of this type of car. full scale, nothing over 20 grand (us) so that means i'm just looking for a platform. Basically what i would be doing is (in rc so you understand) Taking a shaft drive touring car, and making it into a 4wd buggy. Longer arms, shocks, axles, and that's about it.

that thought did cross my mind Mark!

But i think things have drifted slightly of topic! I have a ford diesel and it is rock solid, never skipped a beat.
I doubt you would go wrong with a Passat estate diesel either. The VW engines are pretty much the best diesels out there.
