WBMCC Indoor Offroad Winter Series

So this years dates for the Offroad series are;

October 17

November 21

December 12

January 16

February 13

March 13

These are now on SUNDAYS, not Saturday like previous years

Classes being run are 2wd and 4wd 1/10th buggies and 1/10th Short Course trucks (will be split to 2 and 4wd if enough entries)

Control tyres are minipins on the rears of the buggies and open tyres for the trucks (as long as they are 1/10th scale SC tyres, 3.0"x2.2")

We will be running on an extended track which will nearly fill the hall to give us the largest indoor track in the country!

Race fees will be £10 for all drivers with £5 refund for any driver who packs away on Sunday (race director's discretion will be applied)

Pre-booking can be done here http://www.rcracecontrol.com/?action=showseries&id=35

I think tyres are minipins on the rears of the buggies and open for the trucks, but will be confirmed by Rob asap.

WHAT!!!!!!!! That will mean I have to buy a motor for 6 races! 10.5 is slow and boring in a sct

Hang on with you going to university are you not going out and buying a whole new car for 6 races?

The SCT's ran last year with a 10.5 / 19 turn motor limit and they were fairly lairy with those in. Good luck with getting across the lino with anything hotter in them.

We have opened up the tyre rules this year though so hopefully they will be a bit easier to handle with the new breed of SCT tyres.

Can you edit the date at the top please ant as Doddy has done in his post? Just to save any confusement.

Dave Dodd 05-08-2010 02:13 PM

here you go a nice cheap 10.5 motor

antnee 05-08-2010 06:41 PM

I'm gonna take the truck to uni with me, with a bigger track and better tyres 10.5 will be too tame, a lot of people are saying 7.5 or 8.5 is about right. If its open motors then I can still use my 6.5 but toned down

antnee 05-08-2010 07:59 PM

 That truck is back in nigels possesion, I have my own kit though, which still needs building

reg 05-08-2010 08:14 PM

cool i think we should all put silly motors in and go in the outlaw class:woot:

The Doctor 05-08-2010 10:14 PM

1. What is "confusement"?
2. Ant -if you build your truck it'll be lairy whatever motor you run because you'll probably put it together with toe-out at the rear.

Lets just clarify it is open to any Short course wheel and short course tyre. So essentially it is any wheel that takes a 3.0" X 2.2" tyre.

No 1/8th wheel conversions.

Motor limit is 10.5 turn or 19 turn brushed.

Not sure of im doing it yet. Got nice new ft sc10. Bit don't fancy buying loads tyres . Enjoyed the associated kit last year

You don't need loads of tyres, the FT kit ones are what most of use are using. Plus there's loads of trucks this time. And if you don't come, I'll have to find a new nemesis, which would suck

Yup. Most of our lot have bought FT's anyway. Looking at them they look like the most suitable on carpet? Ah who cares anyway, just come and get ur ass out!

(your trucks ass, not your actual ass, that would be both perverse and morally wrong).
