any plans for running a 2010-11 winter series on your new Astro track (when it gets built)?

no i dont think so

I think the winter series will remain inside, however we may be holding meetings out on the track after september. the idea i have is outside if good weather and inside if bad

im pretty sure all the series meetings will be indoor since we have to book the hall well in advance, but outdoor meetings may well be possible once the track is laid and complete however we wont be rushing this through as we want to do it once and do it right so just now I wouldnt expected any meetings on the astro until next year.

More news as and when we know about it I guesss.

unfortunately our venue is booked either side of it so we will just have to clash i'm afraid

Just gotta point out that we never intended to clash with Worksops events. We booked the hall based on the dates given out by Worksop some time ago so as not to clash, but due to circumstances beyond their control, worksop have had to change their dates. We cannot move the event to any other date as our hall is now booked by other people, and we felt that we should not cancel it and let people decide where they want to go. We did not do it with any malice or ill intent, it's just the way things have worked out!

What's your race surface and what tyres (Yellow minipin I presume)?

High grip carpet, Slippery surfaces and the wall of death. Mini pins work best.

What is usually the most popular class, 2wd or 4wd?

I think they were about equal last year mate. Maybe slightly more 4wd but I reckon 2wd maybe the more popular this year with every man and his dog having a cougar!

When's the entry form available?

ermm when we go inside i think. They will just be on the table at the club or on the broxtowe website im guessing

Yes you can enter on the day if you want to risk it.
Pre entry this year highly reccomended due to increased demand.

Yep works for me too now, will get it sent tomorrow, this is a great series every winter so don't want to miss out!

Just trying to remember guys, is there 240v power at Broxtowe or do we need to bring 12v batteries?

I think the rule is. If you are going to bring a 12v you must have it in a container that is leak proof and yes im pretty sure there is 240v just remember an extension cord :)

Seeing as we live in the modern era why cant we book in via here or online or pm's?

Far to many people thought it good practice to email or pm us and say they were coming and then not bother to turn up. So thanks to all those rude folk we are only taking entries via the form with payment.

Not fair to people on reserve lists, will I or Won't I get to race?
Not fair to the organisers having to mess about on the day re-organising heats etc.

PS, If you are thinking of sending in the form we would appreciate payment for all the rounds you have entered enclosed within please. Your entry is not fully confirmed untill you have paid!

9.00am is the latest but will hopefully be in earlier so you shouldnt be outside in the elements too long!
