due to popular demand (and the fact i want some extra laps myself before the next meeting) i will be opening the track this sunday for all the hard workers that can't make it on a thursday evening.

track will be open from 11am till 5pm and refreshments will be available.

£10 for sunday, £5 for thursday eves

PLEASE NOTE, ON A WEEKEND WHEN THE GO OUTDOORS SHOP IS OPEN, PLEASE DRIVE TO THE FRONT OF THE SHOP AND HEAD FOR THE OVERFLOW CAR PARK. IT IS A ONE WAY SYSTEM DURING OPEN HOURS ON A WEEKEND

hi iam from just outside of wakefield but i race 1/10th electric and was just wondering if you allow electric to run at all.

There were a couple of lads running 1/10th electric on sunday, Althought the track has nothing to do with me i imagine that you would be ok to run. I'm sure someone will say ye or nay before thursday.

on a thursday night i dont see why not, other than you may get battered about a bit by some of the 1/8 cars

but obviously not on race days

Yes mate, they don't mind what you run at these practice days/evenings. I ran the 410r Durango on step pins and holeshots - it was awesome and on par with the 8th buggies for pace with a 6.5

I'd like to race electric there sometime. Not sure if they'll cater for that or not but it's well suited to 10th scales

jimmy's car was quite impresssive down the straight, well fast.

no problem with 10th running with 8th on the practice days.

would there be enough interest to run a "quiet" electric evening ??

I'll be there tonight with my 10th buggy again - hope the weather stays nice!

went down the other night just to have a look at the track it looks amazing looks a very tidy track would not mind trying my 1/10 electric buggy on it. Yes i think that there would be intrest for runnning a quiet electiric pratice or something like that.Iif weather ok next thursday going to pop down with my gear and give it a run. do you have to park in the Go car park or can you park in the field where the track is.

Park next to the track pete, if weathers good I'm sure I'll be down.

for the evening practice's follow the hedge to the right which is the delivery road to the rear of the shop and through the overflow car park to get to the track.

also short notice but due to a change of plans,anyone wants to come this sunday i will be there around 11 - 5.
i presume most of you racer boys will be at the national so if anyone who is not too confident to get on a track for the first time wants to come down, it may be one of our quieter days.
oh, and for a change we may run reverse to normal direction, had a go today and really enjoyed it.

I am reliably informed that this MMRX Wakefield track is NOT open on Sundays for the rest of August. I have seen a sign on the site and it says that the track will open ONLY on Thursday evenings from 5pm to 8pm. Must be holiday time!
It says to watch the web for September opening. If I see anything I'll post it here.

I'm in bradford and we have just had a mega storm, Should i bring my boat or buggy Ha HA, i suppose the track will now be extremely damp.

im a mile away from the track and its raining hard on and off.

stopped raining,suns coming out and blue skies appearing

im on my way for a look!

best part of the day now,sun is out in full force :)

I believe the track will not be open tomorrow due to everyone holidays in August, the track is open however for practice every Thursday in Aug 5pm - 8pm (see page 1 of this thread) :thumbsup:

The track is located behind go outdoors camping in Middlestown, Wakefield, WF4 4PZ

don't forget race meeting on 12th sept.

So to make it clear for us, :thumbsup:the track will be open on the evening of Thursday 2nd September (as usual) and then for a full day of Sunday 5th September.

Well even though the track is mega miles away it looks ace!!!!!!!!!!! Thinking of coming up to the October 24th meeting as to be honest i really can't see why this track wouldn't have a national in 2011. My question is though, if you are still having practice evenings on a Thursday (the last one before that meeting would be 21st) would it at all be possible to pay to use the track on the Friday or the Saturday as well :bored: . Would like to try and possibly stay up there for a few days as it's a mega drive :o Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

just rained hard here for about 5 mins but stopped now :)

track surface was perfect nice and sticky but no mud

it will be open every thursday night unless theres a post on here saying its not

i will get back to you on this, its just that we will be preping the track for the meeting on those days
