TC3 'o' v2 any good?

Is it any good, I am thinking of buying one. I know Neil Cragg had one a while back, but not for long

nick oliver 14-04-2006 10:39 AM

From what i have seen others having one, they are not the best cars and could put you doing 4wd ofroad by having one:rolleyes: They mite be good cars if you been in sport for awhile and are really good with set ups but other wise i wouldnt bother sorry:rolleyes:

You would be better going for a kyosho zx5? xx4? bj4? Nick.

jimmy 14-04-2006 12:43 PM

Thats gonna be the main problem, finding setups that work etc..I know its attractive if you have a TC3 but if you actually wanna do well at racing its probably better to try something else unless you really fancy it.

bert digler 14-04-2006 08:12 PM

if i where you i would buy a lazer bj4 or a losi if you want something different have a x10 predator these are well proven cars with setups readily available and they work

BenG 15-04-2006 06:36 PM

ahh right, that was very, very definite. I have been racing a while, not doing to bad with electric and nitro TC's, but I don't know too much about leccy buggies, may have to buy a proper buggy. I live near Batley Buggy club, can I use it during the day?

nick oliver 15-04-2006 07:24 PM

I am sure you can If you became a batley buggy club member! wont cost much for year! Just check for Jimmy on this forum first tho as he will know best!:D

jimmy 26-04-2006 04:55 PM

Oh, aye, you can go down any time mate. The members maintain the track and the membership / race fees pay for the rent on the land etc, so if you want to join it just shows you're willing to help out like.
There are a lot of kids down there, even more so now that they built a skate park near the track, bad idea!!!! so you get a lot of vandalism and bikes on the track sometimes, usually they will move off if you ask them, but this one little lass was a right arrogant little so and so on here pink bike..
despite repeatedly being asked, she just rode about anyway, with rich lowe fanging his bj4worlds around.

should have been chucked in the stream if you ask me.:D

tell me about it. The skate park would have been fine for skateboarders e.t.c who dont use the RC track as a a addition to the park, it's just the chav's it attracts that think that the rc track is meant for thier bikes. I think we should give em a bath in spen beck.:D I think I am going to buy a FT B4, as they appear to be the dogs danglies in 2wd, and apperntly improove your TC racing/reactions:D

Richard Lowe 28-04-2006 03:09 PM

Batley Chav's seem a bit better than most (well less bad  ), normally if you ask em' to shift they come and stand on the rostrum..

"ere, is that like pet rol mate, ave' got a Subaru one that does 100mph"

Can't wait till the national, Tom, Vermin and Me will be kicking the kids off the skate park to have a play :bom:
/Remembers to pack 3 spare B3 chassis :o

Bonus points to Jimmy for using the word 'fanging' :jimmeh

emzy 28-04-2006 03:20 PM

Where's there a skate park near Batley? Was it there in February and I just had my eyes closed? Although it was quite dark...

jimmy 28-04-2006 03:24 PM

probably was yea.. Ive not actually SEEN it ! but you can see where it is, right behind the sports centre
close to the track, but hidden by a fence

DCM 28-04-2006 03:45 PM

sounds like a good place for misfit juveniles, behind a fence where they can't be seen or do harm... shame it is a two way gate, so they can get back out again...

Richard Lowe 28-04-2006 03:50 PM

It's only small, there's a couple of quarter pipes and a tabletop with a grind rail (did I get my terminology right there?! :p )
I reckon we'll get 20 feet or so of air off one of the quarterpipes :afro:

jimmy 28-04-2006 03:51 PM

I'll have to get a new B$ ordered sharpish then so I have an old one to play with

DCM 28-04-2006 04:21 PM

Emz = Grandma Grammar..... or even Miss Spelling... pmsl...

Can't you read Emz... heehee

emzy 28-04-2006 04:26 PM

Meh. I've gotten over my grammar/spelling kick for a little while I think. Maybe it was just exam stress. If so, you're all in for an irritating May!

PS... grammAR dammit!

Absolutely!
Those kids at batley irritated me so much, however many times I asked them *politely* to not ride their bikes on the track, they completely ignored me, or obnoxiously slowly rode away only to return a short time later.
But it did get me thinking... if we have asked them to leave but they refuse, and they do get injured by a fast moving RC car (*shame*), then who is liable?!
Likewise if they ride over our cars and break something?!

Jimmy At Regionals Can U Plzzzz Take More Pics Of All Different Cars Not Jst Top Drivers An Stuff!!

Thanks Jonny

emzy 01-05-2006 11:57 AM

Erm be fair, Jimmy tries to take as many photos as possible... he has to take time to do his own car too you know! Think about it yesterday... Jimmy's in heat 5, marshals heat 6, obviously heats 2, 3, 4 are getting his car ready... that really only leaves heats 7 and 8 (top heats) and possibly a bit of 1 to take photos in!

Think about how much time you have spare if you also add in time for things like eating, talking to people...!

Its not like Jimmy gets paid for taking photos, and he never refuses to take photos of a car someone specifically asks him to do... and anyway, have a proper look at the photos... there are SO many photos of 'non-top-drivers'... so tbh, I think you're being VERY unfair!

Northy 01-05-2006 12:00 PM

Well said Emzeh! :)

jimmy 01-05-2006 02:12 PM

hehe,
no worries Jonny
I will try a bit harder in future.

There are a few things to note though even when I do get photos of lesser drivers cars i might be less inclined to put them up for a few reasons.

They might be slower - so the photo is less dynamic, there is less lean, less jump, less everything that makes the photo exciting.

Top drivers tend to have cleaner, better painted and prepared cars, they literally just look better, so look better in photos also.

Those are a couple of reasons why even if i do get photos of the lower heats the cars dont generally get selected as much.. But i do get a lot of good ones..

If someone ever wants to see a photo of their car, and they think i might have got a photo, tell me what car it is and ill have a look.. I have hundreds of photos from this last weekend that never got shown but I still have them.
I guess I could charge a nominal fee for burning all the photos from a race(s) to a DVD so people could look at them all.

But aye, overall I am usually mid way in the heats, so can only take photos at either end, the top drivers and the noobies

MikePimlott 01-05-2006 02:25 PM

Well said Jimmy. Im a self confessed NOOBIE and am very thankfull for any pics of my car that make Oople. Keep up the good work mate.

jimmy 01-05-2006 02:28 PM

Just to show how lovely and fluffy I am, I added all the decent pics of lower heats I have, only 6. I did not have the camera out much on saturday because I was trying to do well at racing. :)
I have a bad habit of not preparing my cars and doing badly.:(

And unfortunately, Jimmy doesn't have a permanent pit monkey (other than me and Vicky, who aren't much help!) therefore he's physically unable to take any more photos that he already does! Like I said before, he can only take photos of drivers in heats where he's not busy... surprisingly the same cars seem to be going round the track at the same time each round!

2jwilki 02-05-2006 06:38 PM

ok well i was only sayin i wud lyk to see sum more as i wud lyk a pic of my race team kinda thing and i would buy a large print of it 4 the wall thats why i wanted it ok!

emzy 02-05-2006 07:10 PM

I'm sorry if I sound harsh, its just I was getting a 'try harder next time Jimmy' vibe which I find rather unfair... anyway, whatever.

Peas.
