Seems like the team held Spanish Freddy in the pits, supposedly to avoid Kimi's Ferrari, thus denying LH the chance for a quick lap. Wonder what Ron will do?

gav4wd 04-08-2007 02:36 PM

alonso w@~@@@

what a cheating bad loser.
cant have it his way so he will cheat.
get the voodoo dolls out lads
Ron did not look happy wonder what has gone on behind the scenes.
Alonso trained and sponsered by BSM :eh?:

On the first pit stop, they did, and it worked to Alonso's advantage, the second pit stop, they held him to put him into clear air, then released him to go, but Alonso decided to sit there and delay his team mate....

Maybe Ron Dennis will force team tactics on Alonso for that.

TRF_Tastic 04-08-2007 05:10 PM

I think that there is a certain spanish gentleman that is going to feel the rough end of the Ron's trumpet this evening, I would love to be a fly on the wall for that one......

I wonder what ouch your hurting me is in Spanish!!! And then sitting in an F1 car for a couple of hours tomorrow afternoon, that will smart.

albertobdq 04-08-2007 06:28 PM

If I were Ron Denis Alonso would be fired inmediatly, well, to be precise, not just fired, I'd look for a more sadistic solution

DCM 04-08-2007 06:47 PM

Don't fire him, make him a test driver, or just sit him on the bench.... give the drive to Coulthard.

_JP_ 04-08-2007 07:20 PM

yes he was not very sporting today, that was alonzo waiting and not the team, he had been released by the lollypop. He is under alot of pressure but there supposed to be team mates!

DCM 04-08-2007 07:27 PM

BUTTON, want someone with balls, like DC, not someone who constantly moans

paulc 04-08-2007 07:30 PM

yeah but he's got alot to moan about cos that cars shite not the driver

DCM 04-08-2007 07:46 PM

very true, just wish he would stop moaning, lol

matt 04-08-2007 07:56 PM

oh good another hour of pre race hype where all they talk about is Lewis.

tc2k 04-08-2007 09:21 PM

Certainly looked like a unsporting move by Alonso by the way Ron Dennis collected his trainer chappie and wouldnt say anything but you never know, might not be as it seems

Latest News:

Alonso looses five positions and tomorrow he'll start from 6th place, why? FIA has not say why. Because Alonso is allowed to waiting all the time he needs in his pit area, he has not to drive again if he doesn't want so I don't understand why FIA is involved in McLaren's problems, what Alonso did is not fair but Dennis is the man to resolve this problem between their drivers (Hamilton & Alonso), Why FIA take always part versus Alonso...?

And....McLaren looses all the points to the manufacteurs' championship ( FIA doesn't say if that's only with the points that their drivers get in this race or all the championship...)

Garzi 04-08-2007 10:44 PM

and how i think that many of you don't know why Alonso stopped the car in front of Hamilton, the reason was that, in this race, Mclaren team had decided that Alonso was allowed to have an extra lap in qualification (every race in Mclaren team, one of his driver has an extra lap to try to be TQ), but Hamilton broke this plan when he started in first place when the 3rd qualification started and he don't allowed Alonso to get the first place. Ron Dennis admitted this question after the qualification and he said that the order of his both car before startting the 3rd qualification was wrong ( Alonso had to be in first place and Hamilton 2nd). That's the reason why Alonso stopped the car and so he had the extra lap (not planned and extra lap to Hamilton) that McLaren Team decided on Friday...

Alonso is not always the bad guy in these situations...and sometimes there's a reason

DCM 04-08-2007 10:49 PM

In Qualifying, if it is deemed that you held up another driver, then you are penalised, and by sitting in his box AFTER the team gave him the go, and stopped Hamilton getting another lap, he has held him up.

Pretty bad managed situation. This year McLaren is really weird, they have the enemy at home. What are they all thinking about?

dave g 05-08-2007 10:37 AM

yep, hamilton thought he was being clever by not yeilding to alonso earlier in the last qualifying session,he was trying to get the extra lap in and not alsono as agreed by the team,so all alonso did in the pits was to make sure hamilton didnt get the extra lap :)

i think hamilton needs to grow up a little bit and learn to work as a team,he is a damn good driver but a driver alone doesnt win championships,he would do well to remember that.

k£v!n 05-08-2007 03:35 PM

Great race once again :D

Tit for tat eh, great for team morale

dave g 05-08-2007 10:50 PM

exactly..dennis has his hands full this year.

Garzi 06-08-2007 06:47 AM

Hamilton celebrated his winning ALONE....something has changed in McLaren Team after this race..

DCM 06-08-2007 08:25 AM

both drivers had their backsides chewed by Ron Dennis, Mclaren were also not allowed to collect their trophy as they were penalised by not taking constructors points away from the race. The mechanics looked pretty happy though.
