July 25th - Caldicot - Electric only

Electric only guys, so no Nitro, but if you want to race your 8th electric, I believe it is ok.

Who's going... me for starters!!

peetbee 14-06-2010 09:44 AM

I'd better be there!

email address to send your entries to is info (at) caldicotrcracers.co.uk
take the (at) out and use @ instead (trying to stop the spambots from bombarding us with offers!)
Don't forget to include the class you want to race, your transponder number, frequencies and BRCA number please.

Track location can be found on our website at www.caldicotrcracers.co.uk
and it's going to be an old skool grass track, laid out the day prior to the event, so no sneaky practice I'm afraid!

DCM 14-06-2010 10:36 AM

8th electric ok Pete?

axeman 14-06-2010 02:59 PM

You can put Reg and myself down!!! We feel the need to keep wooping your asses!!!!

We are racing gods!!!!

bring it on!!!!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

DCM 14-06-2010 03:02 PM

I love the delusions of grandeur!! lol

Dyna 14-06-2010 03:15 PM

Hmmmm i was thinking of racing the Predator at Caldicot but if you three are racing 4wd i think i might need something sturdier.... :p

millzy 14-06-2010 03:30 PM

Any one got somthing spare to lend me??

c0sie 14-06-2010 03:38 PM

Is it gonna be flat or are we gonna see the jumps on the day?

Very sorry, but no 8th electric as our track is not really suitable for the large scale cars!

Millzy, I'll see if I can sort something out

c0sie, that ground isn't dead flat you know! Track layout is yet to be decided, but if we can include some jumps then I'm sure we will!

And Dyna, remember my comment about your pred98 not lasting 5 minutes indoors, I think you can guarantee that outdoors, no matter how many spares you bring with you!

We will (subject to enough entries) run an extra heat for vintage cars, so if anyone wants to run their old Tamiyas, Traxxas or Kyoshos then they are more than welcome!

c0sie 14-06-2010 03:42 PM

If anyone can fix that...its Simon Osborne :D

millzy 14-06-2010 03:43 PM

Pete if you could it would be magic- let me know so i can send of for my BRCA membership.

Erm, let's not go mad here!

Chris, you have PM

Dyna 14-06-2010 03:53 PM

Remember its an old skool grass track.. you dont need huge jumps & bumps to make it demanding ! And remember the smoother it is the more chance of my Pred staying in roughly one piece

I might even run my TRF Dynastorm as well... or possibly the Dyna-Mid... instead of the RB5 :woot: And possibly a Top Force in Vintage.. ??

I got a stick lipo you can borrow Chris if that helps ?

I can hustle it round COBRA probably faster than my 10th.... honest, go on g'vnor

millzy 14-06-2010 04:22 PM

thats coz it rides the bumps at cobra better than your 10th

DCM 14-06-2010 04:30 PM

I know.... but on a serious note, they go round a 10th track easy peasy!!

Body Paint 14-06-2010 05:58 PM

An 8th leccy is still an 8th Steve, and to make things worse they are even more powerfull than a nitro chuffer.

If I put my health and safety hat on I could safely say that you should definately not be running it around COBRA and I'm absoloutly on Petes side when he says no large scale vehicles at Caldi, the last thing we need is for one of them to career through our single layer catch fence and brake one of the local kids leg off :(

DCM 14-06-2010 06:12 PM

bugger.... not even if that child is an inbred local with one eye??

no worries fella

axeman 14-06-2010 07:04 PM

What you have forgotten DCM, is the Reg factor!!! If you race yours, Reg will run his!!! Now is you had come to caldicot previously and seen my attemps of getting and 8th around you would fully understand the dangers of Reg, with his now 6s 1/8th with a 2200kv motor!! is is quicker than any nitro!!!

:pcome and run in 1/10th 4wd DCM, you even get close to beating me!!:p:p

DCM 14-06-2010 07:17 PM

I am assuming the track won't be like the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, so should be a good bash, and I won't need bi-focals :p

weeman 14-06-2010 07:21 PM

Anyone know when the gnr results go up on wrca?

Body Paint 14-06-2010 07:22 PM

Hopefully there will be no bloodied limbs scattered around the track and you definately wont need your binoculars.

Try as I might DCM, I can't for the life of me think what track you might be aiming your sarcasm at LOL

DCM 14-06-2010 07:25 PM

it must be my old age and rose tinted bi-focals there Craig hee hee

weeman 14-06-2010 07:26 PM

At least we tried!! Some clubs couldnt be bothered!:p

it wasn't for the lack of trying on some members parts :(

c0sie 14-06-2010 07:48 PM

...anyways....back to promoting the Caldicot WRCA Regional round eh...will be good to get the numbers up :)

I might even find myself beating a Welsh man, and I might even out qualify some on the race track too LOL

weeman 14-06-2010 07:50 PM

Steve, DCM, do you know when the results go up on wrca?

blue_pinky 14-06-2010 07:57 PM

GNR? Hehe...level it wasn't, Challenging...definately, and fun...it most certainly was...even if the final proved to be more random than than a bag of randoms me old teapot chicken caravan!!!

As for our Caldicot track layout, not sure it'll need jumps from what I've been told about the shape of the land hiding under that grass...everything I've heard hints at there being a great track with some good natural shape to it. Might still see what we can do though.

Looking forward to it now and some good racing to be had for all I reckon

Not too good after being beaten by your x6. Although it was alot cleaner than my Losi after the downpour during the B & A final rally x :(.
we dont have any excuses Dave, we knew every bump & divot, ok...bombhole in that track :woot:

blue_pinky 14-06-2010 08:20 PM

As weeman says...Our outdoor track is literally just outside the hall! It has a nice patch of grass out the front which happily turns into a nice outdoor venue once in a while.

It's not been run on for 2 years, but some tlc with a lawn mower is literally all it needs to turn it into RC joy! No pics that know of, so it'll just have to be a surprise for everyone...certainly no home advantage for anyone at this WRCA round :woot:

And, since it's just outside the hall, if it's wet we'll run indoors instead...so no matter what happens we'll get a good days racing in
