So does this mean there's no practice round then Steve ? Straight into the first qualifier ? Or will there be a practice round and one less timed round ?

Good idea to get things started earlier i admit, and even if things do go slightly off schedule there should be enough time in hand to finish things off before it gets too late.

axeman 01-06-2010 06:11 PM

The Plan

round 1 is practice round
I have got a schedule am trying to get it on here!!!

axeman 01-06-2010 06:25 PM

given up trying to get schedule on here. I will email it out on request

weeman 01-06-2010 06:53 PM

On behalf of myself mr knight and all the other guys who have helped can i say that the GNR track has seen some good improvements over the last few weeks including.....New turfed whoops, some serious smoothing out of the track and now boasts a new 10th layout within the rallycross circuit!! Weather permitting(and labour!!) there will also be three whoops placed close together on the bend after the big table top..Track open for practice every sunday.. :thumbsup:Post code...np442df..cwmbran nr newport south wales

DCM 01-06-2010 07:11 PM

Last time I was there, the rostrum had no guard rail and the table top were in front of the rostrum, have these been changed (I am sure Hywel has sent you the Risk Assessment form for all regionals)?

Also, is pitting on the field next to the track again or can we pit next to the track?

axeman 01-06-2010 08:10 PM

OK folks

There are 5 rounds for 1/10 electric.
Round 1 is practice
Round 2,3,4,5, are qualifing
then finals!!!!

There was always going to be practice!!!

The guard rail was up last year for the rostrem Mr DCM !!

Electric drivers will also be able to make full use of our undercover pits as you will be there first!!!

DCM 01-06-2010 08:19 PM

I wasn't there last year....

axeman 01-06-2010 08:23 PM

You need to stay up to date!!!

Was that prior to track work being carried out??....just joking :D
Check out mine & Dave's track markers....nice!!...If they claim a few 1/10th front ends I had nothing to do with them ;)

Jamie.T 07-06-2010 11:33 AM

Any pics available of the 1/10th electric track? Am thinking about coming up to do this event.

Jamie......

axeman 07-06-2010 11:57 AM

The pics are of 1/10 track

Dyna 07-06-2010 12:10 PM

Jamie.T 07-06-2010 12:34 PM

I presumed with the roughness look of the track and the 1/8th buggy in the pics that it was the rallycross track. Sure i read somewhere there was a 1/10th track inside the 1/8th track.

Jamie.....

Dyna 07-06-2010 12:37 PM

The 1/10 track is part of the 1/8th track thats cordoned off once classes are changed- a bit like Talywain.

I wouldnt worry too much, im sure it will be great on the day - they have worked very hard on it :)

Old skool grass track - what a refreshing change

mat williams 07-06-2010 02:32 PM

yer ur rite matt old school grass, thas all we need is a nice damp start just like the old days! :p

axeman 07-06-2010 04:02 PM

I'm sure GNR will challenge you all!!! This is no smooth carpet track or ironed astro track!!! After using the track last sunday with the B44 I can tell you that there is a racing line!! Mr Knight found it and I nearly did!!.

Dyna 07-06-2010 04:08 PM

Oh so now your practicing are you Steve... you really must be taking it seriously :p

Balders 08-06-2010 02:56 PM

Has the farmer had a crack at levelling out the road up the track? I don't want to take the exhaust off me car..

Track looks much better then the last time i saw it, just a bit sorry I couldn't get up there to help out...

Mike

axeman 08-06-2010 02:58 PM

road did actually seem a lot better to me last sunday!!! although I did go up in a mitsibishi shogun...:p

DCM 08-06-2010 02:59 PM

bugger, so the road is still like the moon?

Balders 08-06-2010 03:26 PM

I think I'll try and pinch my mothers old Civic just in case... :)

DCM 08-06-2010 03:29 PM

I can put your car in the back of the yank tank??

blue_pinky 08-06-2010 03:56 PM

Maybe there could be some sort of offroad bus system?

I only know it by it's reputation...didn't the road to the track break Craigs car/van once?

DCM 08-06-2010 04:18 PM

yeah, it ate his VW

Dyna 08-06-2010 05:32 PM

Hmmm not liking the sound of that road tbh, certainly not coming in the 944 then... the cars rusty enough as it is i dont want to leave bits of it all down the lane... :P

gnr racer 08-06-2010 06:21 PM

Cant you tell these are electric drivers whining & whinging ?? :p
I was driving a Mazda 6 lowered all round up to the track when the lane was in a worse state of repair than it is now & i never had a mishap
Take it easy up the lane & your motors will be fine...anything falls off im weighing it in for scrap 1st thing Monday morning

axeman 08-06-2010 06:52 PM

The excuses will come out now, It's just because they can't face loosing to the axeman again!!!!!:p:p:p:p:p:p

DCM 08-06-2010 07:19 PM

you be entering 8th electric then.... lol

axeman 08-06-2010 07:21 PM

no can't afford the lipo's!!:(
