Don't panic, the championship will run to the end of the summer.
It'll still say "5+" on June 20th :)

Legacy555 25-05-2010 11:34 AM

Calendar page has been updated with larger calendar.
It's now colour coded, so that all the different events are highlighted.
Now includes, BRCA and RCCAOI events.

Also, championship top 3 on home page has been corrected - sorry Michael :)

Last weekends results should be posted in next 24hrs or so.

Legacy555 26-05-2010 01:04 PM

Results from 23rd May updated.

Some points of interest;
Michael O'Leary now features in top 3 of both classes.
Dave Bolger makes impressive move into top 3 in 2wd.
Oisin Carroll boosts his championship with very good result last week.

Grundy 03-06-2010 09:15 PM

To get the wizard's key you to get the crystal of En-d-Vok, this will give you access to a scroll of knowledge. You'll need to add this scroll to the other two that you have already, you already have two scrolls!! These scrolls will allow you to answer the 'questions 3' that is asked by the keeper of the key.

Sure it all makes sense when you think about it!!

Right on to the more difficult stuff.

Grading system, it's still a work in progress.

F5 NOVICE/NEW-COMER First time racer

F4 CLUBMAN, second year or more racing.

Both the above would be running 10.5 motors.

F3/F2/F1, would be in the modified class.

So as well as an overall champion, there would also be the top F5/F4/F3 driver.

The idea is to give everyone racing in the club a goal or championship to race for, that they have the ability to win.
(Ie new driver in the club would not be racing against a seasoned racer. They would be against drivers of similar ability & experience.)

Hi all,

The grading system is a work in progress at the moment. The main idea of it is so that the club can seperate out the different drivers into groups for the purposes of awarding trophies at the end of the year.

I was thought that drivers would be more enthusiastic if they knew that they were winning their group even if not winning the overall championship.

At the moment, the grades on the website are only part of a proposal that is being drafted. Basically, F4 and F5 drivers must use 10.5 motors or higher.

The ungraded drivers are all F2 and F3 and will be assigned their grading based on RCCAOI/EUROS/WORLDS events at the end of this year.

Hi all,

There has been some changes made to the results page on the club website. When you go into the results page you will see two menus.

Menu 1 is a list of the championships that are running and completed.
Click the end of each line to view results.

Menu 2 is a list of weekly results.

Regards,

Will

Hi all,

I'm working on a revamped dublinmodelracing.com website at the moment. The overall design hasn't changed much, but there will be more interactive photo and video pages.

Visitors will be able to leave comments on the the photos/videos as well as link their own content.

Any requests for the website?

Regards,

Will

Legacy555 31-12-2010 01:17 PM

Updated the photo albums - euros and terenure photos are now online.
Also uploaded Stephen Carson's photos of Xmas GP

Legacy555 19-04-2011 01:12 PM

Hi all,

There has been a load of work done on the results section of the website.
You are now able to look at championship results/points, final and heat results, individual lap times etc.

I've set this up for the current outdoor championship and for the two indoor championship over the winter. Xmas GP times are also up on the Indoor offroad championship page.

Please report any bugs.

Thanks

Will

Legacy555 30-05-2011 12:26 PM

All,

Apologies for delay with posting championship results.
Having an issue with compiling results that are spread over two databases.... long story.

Anyhow, Rob Nelson from BBK is on it and will have a solution for me tomorrow.

Hopefully get the results up tomorrow eve.... however we may not have full details for round 1 - just final times. Rounds 2 and 3 will be complete.

Will

Legacy555 27-06-2011 08:09 AM

Hi all,

Apologies for the lack of results on the website. I'm away at the Belgian GP this weekend - so will sort it all out once I get back.

Will

Legacy555 29-06-2011 11:29 AM

There are a few photos from the 4wd national up in the "Griffeen Valley 2011" Album on the website.
Thanks to Brian MacManus

Dave Bolger sent me a CD full of images - I'll stick these up after I'm back from Brussels

Legacy555 04-07-2011 07:47 PM

Belgian gp photos are up on dublinmodelracing.com

Legacy555 31-08-2011 02:27 PM

Ok, got a load of stuff done in the last 48 hours.

Club championship results are up on the site with all meeting results apart from Round 1.

RCCAOI overall results are up in Excel (xls) format (Thanks Mick B).

Paul Fitz has 4 videos from the nationals and they are now in the "favourites" section of the videos page.

More to come

Mugenextreme 31-08-2011 03:07 PM

Yeah, there's a couple of problems.

1. After fooking around for an hour last night I couldn't get both final legs to show in the results of 2 of the 4 meetings??? Going to play with it again tonight.

2. The BBK system doesn't have a preset points system the same as the one we use - best two from qual + Final 1 + Final 2 - so the points are all over the pace and the results that it chucks out in html format are wrong. Tonight I'll hopefully be able to get the race results up without championship points or final scores. Points/Standings are shown in the excel spreadsheet as currently available.

I'll let everyone know when (if...???) I have it sorted

Mugenextreme 31-08-2011 03:47 PM

if you want to send me the file i can look at it for you guys. As for the format i know there is no option but we can leave the overall out when doing the web published results. For me its times i am interested in.

Legacy555 02-09-2011 11:10 AM

Hi all,

As part of the ongoing improvements to the club website, P-DUB Racing will now be updating products regularly in the "this month's must have" section of the home page.

Should be good for staying on top of the latest innovations.

Will
